Find this hotpot restaurant in the basement of Chinatown Point for high quality meats and dishes at affordable prices. Choose from a variety of soup bases from extensive menu or opt for their secret recipe soup base — Spicy Pickled Baby Lobster Soup, Secret Recipe Spicy Frog Pot and Huadiao Collagen Soup. On their meats, order up their recommended Sliced Wagyu Beef ($11.40), Handmade Crispy Fried Meat ($9.80) and Australian Premier Beef Ribeye ($9.90).


Used 50% off on Eatigo (ala carte items). We came on a weekday night, so the restaurant was only half-filled and relatively quiet. Service was good and food was served in about 10 minutes or less.

Broths were tasty and not too salty or oily, though I personally would have preferred if the pork bone broth was slightly richer. Meat and seafood were fresh. Especially loved their Dragon Fruit Prawn Paste!

Overall a satisfying meal with the discount!

From their takeaway kiosk Chengdu Bowls. They basically turned classic Chinese dishes into hipster one-bowl meals. As you can see, there's a range of vegetables. I ordered cumin lamb thinking it's a safe option, but the meat was too tough and thick. The entire bowl was so dry as well, and I needed the addictive mysterious sauce to save it.


The food is decent. The wagyu beef sets cost about $22.90 before taxes. The advantage about eating here. Is that they have individual pots and serve single pax sets. I do appreciate the option of being able to dine alone for hotpot. The staff are friendly but they seem very busy and overworked. The sauces are not my favorite. I prefer to blend my own.

Ordered Chicken Set Hotpot, for one person. It’s very filling and satisfying. You can select and customise your dipping sauce, they’ll serve to you. Attentive service and good meal overall.

Nice modern interior with artistic lighting style.

With the key component of a hotpot being the soup base, Taikoo Lane has some unique concoctions like the Huadiao Collagen Soup ($11.80, $20.80) and Spicy Pickled Baby Lobster Soup ($16.80/$31.80). The former is made from simmering premium pork knuckles, pork bones and chicken for more than 8 hours before a collagen jelly and a portion of Huadiao wine are added into the broth when served. The latter is the spicier of the two with a bunch of aromatics and spices such as Sichaun pickle Erjingtiao pepper, homemade pickled green pepper and garlic powder are added into the soup base before the fresh crayfish are added into it. With this new launch, there is an ongoing promotion from now to 19 November whereby customers can get to savour either of these soup broths for free with every purchase of another soup base.

In addition to the two new soup bases, Taikoo Lane has also launched four side dishes that includes the Lala Clams in Spicy Sauce ($12.80), Dragon Fruit Prawn Paste ($8.40/$16.80), Exploding Volcano Mashed Potatoes ($11.80) and Flaming Braised Pork Ribs ($16.80). My favourite from the four is the clams that are swimming in a special house sauce that contains green pepper and millet for a savoury tangy flavour.
