I think this place serves the cheapest ramen in SG, and they donโt discount on quality!!! Loved their soup and they use wantonmee-like thin noodles which goes really well ๐ would not recommend ordering the spicy soup base, stick with the original cuz itโs the BOMB!!
as shown in the pic i succumbed to takagi due to ungodly hour hunger pangs and doubt iโll return for their mediocre ramen. only commendable thing is their takoyaki (although not very worth it) is super soft and melts in your mouth~ apart from that, their broth lacks the umami and is pretty bland, do not recommend unless youโre looking for a quick & cheap fix. they offer free upsize for noodles too if youโre hungry
Just what the doctor ordered โ radioactive waste to kill myself. Just kidding! Ajisen is slightly more potent. ๐
Other than decent noodle texture, everything else ๐๐ฐ๐ฟ๐ฒ๐ฎ๐บ๐ฒ๐ฑ ๐บ๐ฒ๐ฑ๐ถ๐ผ๐ฐ๐ฟ๐ฒ โ quite deafeningly too. Broth defines ramen but theirs was ๐ฏ๐ฒ๐๐ถ๐น๐ฑ๐ฒ๐ฟ๐ถ๐ป๐ด๐น๐ ๐๐ฎ๐น๐๐ and lacked appropriate richness for its level of salinity. I'd even given them three chances. Maybe it's masochism or a longing for death, who knows?
Price is the only saving grace, but honestly quite persuasive. For your budget ramen cravings, better this than Ajisen. Though I'd rather eat ban mian.

Taking out & eating in has been a norm & we are constantly worried if the food we ordered via delivery will taste as good as if you were dining in.
The people at Takagi Ramen has helped to settle that problem! Their innovative packaging of splitting up the ramen & ingredients from the ramen broth has allowed us to enjoy the ramen! It's as if we had it at the store itself!
This allows for the ramen to still have that bite without turning overly soggy in the broth.
As part of their promo as well, you get 5pc of crispy fried Gyoza at a total cost of $12, almost as good as dining in!
The Karaka-men comes with a hot & spicy broth, made from their special blend of red chillies added to the creamy tonkotsu broth, definitely something for the spice lovers out there.
Was recommended this very affordable find in the neighbourhood. Got the karata ramen (spicy) at $7.50, and added $1 for egg, and topped up to make a set that comes with 3 pieces of gyoza and a drink (total price $12.50), which was very affordable. The broth was really spicy but flavourful and packs a punch. You can choose the spiciness level though! The gyozas are really good and crispy on the outside. The seats are a bit squeezy though, so be prepared to squeeze a little. Or you can always choose to find them on food delivery apps :)
Karata-men ($7.50)
Soup wise is average but the thin noodles made the ramen lack bite. Added spicy for the soup and it was slightly too spicy. So perhaps will not do that in future.
