More Reviews of good food at Makko Teck Neo (Telok Blangah)

we bought all the Rempah Udang ($2.80) that were left because we are obsessed HAHA and wanted the Ondeh Ondeh ($3) too but they were sold out (by lunchtime?!?!?!)

the ONLY lontong i like

a little too sweet but they were v generous w the ingredients!

one of the best chendols in sgπŸ˜‹

not a lot of places offer DRY meesiam but this one does and it’s GOOD

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!! They totally nailed the rice to filling ratio!! AND IT IS SWEET πŸ˜πŸ’•πŸ’•πŸ’•

Pretty good not wet not dry mee siam .

Tangy and slightly thicker sauce.

Would be nice if the vermicelli was slightly more tender but still very delicious overall .

At least the sauce is not sickeningly sweet .

Heard good stuff about the dry mee siam here. They are very generous with the portion, the taste is good but it gets boring after awhile. Quite a chore to finish such a big bowl by myself.

It's good and substantial. Sour rich flavour. Dry style. $5.80

The deep-fried tofu is piled with shredded cucumber, beansprout and lots of the nutty peanut sauce. Each mouthful comes with an abundance of textures at play.

It comes in a tray of 6. I always enjoy kueh pie tee and this is above average. I think what could push it be better is a yummier chilli and some egg.

.
The Nyonya Kueh Pie Tee filled with flavourful turnip stew, topped with a thinly sliced prawn is must enjoy with a dollop of the chilli sauce.

Strong coconut taste deep to the bone; can't tell just from the looks of it. This is a pretty legit fried chicken.

Dry Mee Siam - This dish is full of flavour – you can taste lemongrass, sambal, Kaffir lime and many other spices in each mouthful.Β

Given a hefty price tag , I was expecting more from this dish but was disappointed with the extremely fatty pork and one dimensional tasting dish. It lacked the finesse of a Peranakan dish .

I say skip their main dishes and just go for the dry mee siam or the nasi lemak Set - which is much more affordable.

For better quality and more authentic Peranakan and definitely more value for money , I’d say head straight to ivins ivins .

Having tried their stall at Tangs good Court , I thought the quality of food would be fresher here.

The taste of this dried mee siam was still good and the egg was cooked till perfection but the blackened prawn was not fresh .

No difference in the quality of food served here or at Tangs so just stick to the Tangs outlet for convenience .

Authentic Peranakan. Tofu goreng, Ayam Buah keluak is amazing! Very hard to find good and affordable Peranakan food nowadays. The rempah udang (rice with hae bee hiam) is very very good

Wondering why it is a small portion because the owner wrap one long roll cut into half after deep frying it. Their Ngoh Hiang is make from Stretch. Everything is homemade not frm Factory. That why u eat it with filled with real minced meat & prawn chestnut with it. Not forgetting dipping their Sauce make the Ngoh Hiang Taste Good.
