This crowd-favourite in Publika is perfect for brunch with the fam and your pooch. Go for the Benedict III (RM30), where poached eggs sit on fluffy French toast and are served with kale, mushrooms, beef bacon or turkey ham. Fans of pasta will enjoy the colourful Aglio Olio (RM24) tossed with sauteed mushrooms, black olives and tomatoes. Coffee's a must-have, especially the Long Black (RM8) or the Signature Iced White Coffee (RM15) that's good for hot days. Note that only the alfresco area is pet-friendly and water is provided.

This is probably the one dish I order repeatedly here whenever I’m craving for a simple roast chicken. Roasted thigh leg served with herbed potatoes, sautéed mushrooms, olives, mushroom and salsa gravy. The mushroom gravy is quite addictive with a hint of truffle. RM26 per serving.

When was the last time you saw alio oglio this colourful? It’s as good as it looked. Will definitely come back for this.

Instead of going for their signature, we try this new item, kraken pasta. With its spicy gravy, I find it interesting. If you are spicy lover you should try this when you dine in there!

Definitely one of the favourite delicious dish from the red beanbag

Known for excellent coffees and scrumptious breakfast plates, this well-loved cafe is a must-visit when in the area. It gets busy on weekend mornings, so swing by for a slightly later meal – brunch is available all day anyway. Stick to the signatures like the Sunny Salmon (RM30) featuring a meaty salmon fish cake served with two crispy carrot rostis and a poached egg. Burppler Alyssia Yu’s favourite is the belly-filling Super Awesome Fry-Up (RM32) – breakfast platter filled with eggs, toast, hashbrowns and more. The Red Beanbag is also home to the former Malaysian barista champ so you can expect quality cups of joe here. We're big fans of the nutty and smooth Piccolo Latte (RM10).

Can’t fault these perfectly cooked eggs Benedict. Love that they use fluffy French toast instead of the usual muffins. Everything on the plate was cooked very well. Would have liked less hollandaise though. Felt like it drowned the other flavours of the dish.

Also in frame: Long Black (RM8), fruity and a Piccolo Latte (RM10) with nice milk-to-espresso ratio.

Revisited this cafe after many years and happy to report my yummy experience! Stuck to the RBB signatures like this one with salmon fish cake. A bit deceiving as the one fish cake is tucked alongside two carrot rostis, which are very delicious but would have like more salmon. I’m just being picky but I enjoyed this dish anyways!

✨: The only thing I’ll give credit to the Red Beanbag is their perfectly poached eggs.
Otherwise, I found the dish I got rather lacklustre. ⁣

💬: The element I anticipated most -- the smoked salmon, lacked flavour and was presented in thin, sad strips. Also, despite the unconventional use of french toast over the traditional English muffin, the former managed to be drier. The mushrooms and spinach too failed to add any elements of salt or acidity I was anticipating in the dish. Overall, I was disappointed. ⁣

I hope I’ll be compelled to re-visit, but as of right now, I don’t see myself going back anytime soon.⁣

Trying out the new lamington inspired french toast from a place that always serve promising French toast.

Strawberry filling and coated with desiccated coconut served with cocoa sauce. I love the desiccated coconut that add the texture and flavor to the French toast.

This place is famous for brunch. Since I’ve always tried their brunch items, decided to try their pasta, Puttanesca, and I liked it. Al dente pasta. Might be a tad salty for some.

Mac ‘n’ cheese is everybody’s classic comfort food and turning them into crunchy breadcrumb coated croquettes takes it to another level of deliciousness. Served with mushroom, rocket, and pepper chutney.

If i could choose one type of pasta to live with its got to be GNOCCHI. The fluffy pillows you pop into your mouth is so satisfying. Here at The Red Bean Bag, they offer a pumpkin gnocchi which sweetness binds so well with the rich tomato sauce. Scattered together with those pillows are the juicy portobello mushrooms and spinach and topped with a generous amount of parmesan to finish.

The Atlantic came with two fluffy French toast, salmon, poached eggs, thick hollandaise sauce and ikura. One had a bed of wilted spinach and the other with sautéed mushrooms. The dish was beautifully presented and seasoned well. On the down side, salmon wasn’t fresh and one egg was slightly overdone. Service could be better as well.

I don't usually get sunny side up but tried. Not as runny as I had hoped. The beef bacon... Hmm wasn't the best. It was like chewing on my leather wallet. The beans were very different. Not your usually baked beans. Was a pleasant surprise. #burpple #foodporn

Perched atop Publika's outdoor shoplots, The Red Beanbag is home to Malaysia's barista represent, two-time winner of Malaysian Barista's Championship, Jason Loo. While a great cuppa is guaranteed, this cafe has a notable menu of tasty Australian-inspired brunch plates to offer. Here, reach for the Skyscraper (RM17) that stacks fluffy pancakes with chocolate drizzle and fresh fruits — the ability to make something simple so delicious completely wins us over everytime.
