More Reviews of good food at Yoshinoya (Junction 8)

This was surprisingly pretty yummy for a random fast food ramen. Can’t have this with expectations cause noods were defo too soft (although they separate it on delivery) and beef was stringy, but definitely better than expected from a fast food chain πŸ€”πŸ€”

Beef bowl large ($8)

Beef with sweet onions was nice as usual. Large bowl was abit too much so perhaps regular is better.

Curry beef rice ($8.90)

The japanese curry went well with the japanese pearl rice and beef. Overall a comforting jap meal.

Beef Bowl (S$9)
Available at @yoshinoyasg in @juncti8n till 9 February 2020 with double the amount of meat.
Topup S$1 to enjoy unlimited drink.
Served with miso soup.
Don’t forget to add pickled ginger for extra kick. Love the tender meat.

Beef and chicken kaarage combo ($10.90)

Comes with soup.

Chicken was fried well and marinated nicely. Went well with the soft sliced beef. Worth it as a set.

Beef and ebi combo ($10.90)

Comes with soup

Portion was very big and the ebi was crisp and tasty. Beef also tender and flavoured well.

Just putting this out here πŸ‘€ this is beef tonkotsu ramen. Really like the texture of the noodles! Soup was nice but I kept thinking about how much msg there would be in there hahahaha

Pleasantly surprised. Expected less from Yoshinoya. The chicken cutlet did a good impression of pork. They confidently replaced miso soup with nori soup. Tamago and potato salad were both fine. I added an onsen egg.

Not too bad but I would prefer the sauce from the Tarutaru katsu set.

yoshinoya has a revamped menu and its really delicious. its nice to see my childhood establishment refreshing its offering so that it can cater to changing customers preferences. will come back again!

The ocean don is very savory! The Hokkaido milk crepe cake is not too sweet, just nice for a after meal dessert!

New menu alert! Other than rice bowls, they also serve ramen & Mille Crepe cakes πŸ˜‹

Yakitori Don. Look at those generous servings of chucky & juicy chicken!! 😍😍😍 Perfectly marinated without being salty & comes with an onsen egg #eggporn A pity the egg was served cold else the meal will be perfect!! I do wish that they will include their usual menu as it's pretty limited choices.

Wasn't my initial plan to stop by here, but the newly revamped Starbucks Reserve Store at United Square was just too crowded and packed so I decided to settle here to do my stuff instead. The Crepe Cake (the entire range of four flavours is exclusive to the Junction 8 outlet) wasn't bad, but it wasn't great; if there was something to nitpick about, it would probably be the dry crepes that were just a little hard to swallow despite the aromatic layer of matcha Cream and Azuki in between. Still, it's a decent deal one is getting considering it's $4.50 alacarte or $5.50 with the cup of Americano that is sitting behind, not to mention getting yourself access to a pretty stable free WiFi connection in the store while at it as well.

Never knew Yoshinoya served ramen and milk crepe dessert until today! Value for money!

Featuring an assortment of seafood. Includes 4 tempura prawns and salmon croquettes. I loved the crunchy tempura prawns! Yoshinoya is definitely killing it with the new menu at Junction 8!

The slab of teriyaki salmon was moist and flaky. And you get a bit of fried goodness with the salmon croquettes. No such thing as too much salmon for me.

So many large chunks of juicy and tender teriyaki chicken! Mix in the seaweed for a bit of umami in every bite. I think what made it perfect was the perfectly cooked onsen egg.

Huge slab of chicken that was crispy outside and succulent inside! The tonkatsu sauce is placed in a separate bowl so the chicken stays crispy! I love the salty, peppery mushrooms and the tamago!

Mix of Saba (I think) and salmon, the way to eat it is to mix everything together and put in some wasabi! Looks dry, but the fish was surprisingly moist. The most expensive item at $10.90 on the new menu but you get a lot of fish!
