As mention on my previous post, this place sells their crab dishes at a ridiculous prices. While my family loves their butter crabs. I personally felt that the black pepper style is better. With the right kick, and sweetness and saltiness altogether. It's not that peppery spicy, in case some would worry. But the kick that you would just keep wanting more. Grainy, slight garlicky and savoury, the sauce is seriously great with plain rice.

The fish was so sweet and closed to boneless. Even for those who afraid to eat fish because of its bone, this might the dish for you. It's bone was so small and fine that it hardly caused any discomfort

Three colored Spinach
Our family favorite! Fried in high heat, stewed in with broth and infused with century egg and salted egg! .

Putien Lor Mee
Silky Putian noodles with pork belly, prawn and clam braised in a luscious pork broth.

Great as a quick after lunch/dinner dessert, the pops are made with real fruits and comes in a variety of flavours to suit everyone. The Kiwi flavour is definitely for those who love sour flavours, Earl Grey Pistachio comes with an extra sprinkling of pistachios for a little texture with each bite. My personal favourite is the Stinky Durian, couldnโ€™t resist getting it to try when I saw it in the display.๐Ÿ˜‹
Canโ€™t seem to get the song "Do you see what i seeโ€ byย Mark Seymour every time I see this brand. >.

From Salt Grill & Sky Bar's Lunch Set menu at $49.0++ per person including coffee/tea.
Rather disappointed that my small appetite couldn't finish the delicious spiced chicken in this main, but I managed to lick up every last bit of the sweet corn, savoury miso and salty pancetta. The balance of flavours was so delicate and didn't disappoint one bit. I was too distracted to remember the food from years back when I first got to try Salt Grill, but it left a good memory and this recent visit seals the deal that this is one of my favourite restaurants in Singapore.

This was my first chirashi don ever eaten! Genki sushi's chirashi don is cheap ($12.90 before gst and service charge) and average to eat. The sashimi is not horrible but I can't say it's very fresh either. It contains prawn sashimi which is not widely seen at other Japanese restaurants' chirashi don so if you're a fan of it, you will be a happy person here. Genki's triple salmon sushi remains the ultimate bomb so I will definitely go back for that! But not the chirashi don unless I'm already seated there and craving for one.

We had their foie gras truffle Yakiniku which consisted of a thick slab of foie gras that melts in your mouth, well marinated meat, flowy egg and that garlicky butter rice with mushroom has so much flavor to it, you just can't stop at a spoon ๐Ÿ˜ฑ. Lunch sets go at $19.90

This Dutch Cold Brew ($5.80) was clean and smooth, just had to dig out all the ice from my coffee to avoid diluting in too much.

Quite a dessert that you can get at a hawker centre at $3. To be really honest, the custard wasn't quite my thing for it had bits of airy lumps all over, and it carried a zesty citrus-sy tang that I guess was made that way to provide the cake with a little contrast in flavour though I prefer the more usual sort of custard. Butter Pound Cake was pretty delightful however, lightly wafting of buttery goodness without being too oily nor mushy; pretty light to have. Would definitely be back to try the Yorkshire Pudding with Ice-Cream though; it was sadly sold out when I made my visit there ...

This must be THE most unique Yong Tau Foo that you can find. I first came to know and was drawn from the many posts by burpplers beginning with Veronica, on this YTF stall. You've got to try it to know it, and in this case how good this is. Those who are used to the default (nonya) YTF, you will not find the white fish paste filling but instead, it's PORK and shrimp. Instead of regular tofu, it's fried beancurd skin. The prized item seems to be the meat filled bitter gourd. Instead of serving it poached from the raw state. The bitter gourd meatball is braised and lightly fried before cooking in the soup. To me the most delightful part is not only the ๆ–™ (various ingredients) but also the nice soya bean soup stock and rice vermicelli. The vermicelli used is fine and soft and goes perfectly in the soup. How do you tell from a food preparer with pride and just a hawker selling food? Easy, check out the amount of spring onion they add to their food!
