Yes! I've finally tried the Shibuya Toast that many are raving about. I regretted for not trying Tuk Tuk Cha earlier because the toast is awesome! It is so crispy yet not oily (maybe because they use airfryer) and so heavenly sweet with all the mango goodness - mango ice cream, mango cubes, and mango sauce! Topped with condensed milk and boomzzz.. coz this satisfied the sweet-toothed me! I literally jotted down plans on my schedule to come back. Wahahaha 😁

($12.90) a worthy pasta for this price. 5 slices of smoked duck which were well cooked and it was ever so tender! Particularly liked the distinct tastes felt from the duck skin and the meat itself! The pasta sauce was delightfully gentle and did not have a strong cream taste to it. Staff were particularly friendly and this is a really chill place listen to the indie music as one works. Definitely coming back on my "free" day next semester!

Other than the Wok Hei Aglio Olio which is served with bacon and mushrooms, this Tom Yam Seafood Pasta is another you have to try if you have not been here. I have not tried their sandwiches but they sound good too!

Basically I saw this at almost every table when I walked in haha, no prizes to guess which dish is the most popular. Because there's never enough salted egg right? Heh. Prawns were fresh and I liked the little kick of spice. Sauce was ok, quite strong of salted egg though I would have preferred it to be less creamy! Not so sure if I can finish the whole dish myself.

Steps away from IKEA Alexandra within Park Hotel Alexandra is The Bakehouse, the latest concept by the people behind Carpenter & Cook. Fans of the Lorong Kilat outlet will love how The Bakehouse retains both the original's signature vintage chic interior as well as their signature bakes such as their tangy Passionfruit Meringue Tart ($6.50). What's new and notable is that The Bakehouse also serves savoury mains in their set lunch menu ($14) such as their Grilled Chicken Aglio Olio. Best part is, The Bakehouse opens seven days a week!

$5.50 for a coconut gelato and sorbet of choice (mango / passionfruit). 3 free toppings (chose the corn peanut and Nata de coco for a true Thai taste haha) Loved the coconut gelato which was smooth. Sorbet was tangy and pretty damn good for the super hot weather recently! Served with coconut juice (post on your Instagram and tag them to get refills)

Sinking our teeth into the lobster roll because it's on the roll! Dancing crab doesn't only offers seafood-in-the-bag but also Chicken & Waffle, lobster roll (eyes open wide) and multi flavours lemonade.

Formerly known as Benjamin Browns, newly-revamped bistro concept The Benjamins makes a splashy (re)entrance with the launch of their Over The Top Shakes ($16) — absolutely massive milkshakes topped with everything from the kitchen sink to your mother. Current flavours include Caramel Crunch, Nutella Banana and Tim Tams, but we say go for the creamy and fragrant Coffee Avocado, which is probably the most restrained of the bunch!

đŸ”â„ïž So popular among kids and adults, with little cheesy trees of broccoli you wouldn't even mind eating (if you hate broccoli)。#chirchirsg

Loud claps. That was how my dad used to wake my brothers and I every Sunday morning from our slumber, and the whole family would make our way down to Old Airport Rd. My brothers and I would find a table and play the silliest games, while the task of ordering was left to my food-loving dad who always knew where all the best food was. The first thing he would do before going on a mad rush to order all our favourites—Lor Mee, Rojak, Wanton Mee, Curry Rice—was to secure two plates of Hokkien Mee which would always be met with the uncle's casual remark "wait 30 minutes ". Nonetheless, it was always worth it. I love everything about this hokkien mee — it has the right amount of bee hoon, is just a little drier than others, and the accompanying bright red cut chilli. As I greedily gobbled down the noodles, definitely more than my "allocated" portion, all I could think of was—loud claps. #Hawkerpedia
