Khao Soi
Chicken

3 trays of chicken per person

The Khao Soi soup base really became thick rich curry at the end of the meal. At that moment Nana said that if got rice that would be best. I was like you still can eat meh 😒? My stomach was already bursting. Requested for plain water for soup base topup but never came. Seem short handed. Only 2 - 3 staffs running around.

This is probably our most frequently visited spot after trying out all its other competitors. On top of their sweet hospitality, they genuinely pride themselves in serving the freshest shabu-shabu plates, quality seafood, & a wide variety of other usual steamboat ingredients! & Unlike some places that charge you $1-3 per item, this buffet style dining certainly won’t give you a bill shock at the end of the day. Psst! Best bonus is you don’t have to pay extra for premium ingredients, order all you want! ❤️
.
Get a healthy selection of 10 soup bases ranging from lighter ones like herbal chicken, pork bone, collagen, mushroom or tomato, to heavier options like mala, boiled fish with Szechuan pickles, laksa, tomyum or curry!
.
Lunch $19.80+ | Dinner $26.80+
Feel free to DM me if you want a copy of their ingredients list (too big to post as multiple photo). P.S. not sponsored at all.

Mookata really hits the spot, given the cold and rainy weather! The meats were nicely marinated, and ingredients were quite fresh. The best part is the soup which is super flavorful nearing the end of the meal. Cook a packet of the tom yum maggi mee in it and you have a scrumptious bowl of noodles. It costs $39.90 for the set which can fill 2-3 pax (although you may need to order more if there are 3 people). Not really worth the price, considering that there are mookata buffets around. Make sure to grab a seat outdoors so you don't smell too much like barbecue after your meal!

Great meal except for the overripe mango which was dotted with black dots.

and in a very safe socially distanced setting, with the glass panel between my friend and I. Absolutely wolfed down this truffle ramen, and the smell is pretty strong!! Best part? It's only $6.90 (before gst) big wow

errrrrr the food soso only, the low prices of the boat noodles (ok one tip is the rice noodles nicer thn glass noodles) are compensated by the high!!! prices of their other dishes and drinks lol. dont be dumb !! can close one eye if the standard of food matches the price but nope..

come here only if you wanna experience being surrounded by many many many yps or just eat boat noodles (dont order other stuff la) long queueing time and waiting time (specifically the boat noodles)

On rainy days like these, don’t you just wish for a bowl of heartwarming noodles? This hearty bowl of curry seafood roasted pork noodles by @yapsnoodles came with an assortment of seafood such as prawns and clams, taupok (bean curd puffs), as well as siobak (roasted pork).

Expect an aromatic rempah-filled rich broth, and somewhat creamy, instead of a lemak one. However, possibly due to the creaminess, it was a little hard to fully soak up the taupok strips. Nevertheless, I liked that I got a combination of seafood and meat, especially when the siobak retained its crispiness of the skin even when it was dunked in the broth. Generous with their ingredients, pretty much a brilliant bowl. You can also request to change noodles to kway teow like we did.

With a noticeable lunch queue, Lu Jia Fish Soup 盧家鱼汤 located at Soon Hong Eating House, A’Posh BizHub, is rumored to have one of the best sliced fish soup in Yishun and I must agree that it was pretty good.

Having a bowl of Mixed Fish Soup ($4.50), the clear broth was pleasantly sweet and both types of fish slices were well-executed. Coupled with a generous portion of sliced fish, the comforting soup had a nice depth of flavour yet light as natural sweetness from the shredded ginger and vegetables were clearly present. For something heartier and rich, you can also choose to have milk added in and yam rice instead. They also have fried fish skins and fish bites that you can order as sides, but the best is still their Egg Floss that goes for an additional $1 and can be served separately. Yum, next I will have to try their Salmon Fish Soup!

Thank you @siewnah03 for buying Fried Carrot Cake for me. So yummy with lots of cai poh on top!!

Heard that this stall is famous and decided to give it a try. Compared to the other famous brands that I've tried, I must say this is a pretty worth it place to go to if you're around the area, as for just $6, you get 3 thick slabs of pork ribs that are really tender. You don't even need much sauce to go with the meat! However, the soup isn't too good.

They have an interesting fried porridge ($5) that is probably one of a kind as they basically light up the porridge in flames in the wok to give it the distinct smoky taste. This is probably not for everyone, but I do find it rather flavourful.

The fried pork intestines ($6) came in a disappointing portion, but its really done well. I love how it's crispy and flavourful, but doesn't have too much of the odour.
