Being currently only on soft launch, guess the crowd is not here yet. The pretty, young and friendly lady barista really makes the stay very nice. She even tried us with their cinnamon rolls which taste very good!

The mangoes weren't quite ripe yet and were a tad sour (I actually find the acidity refreshing), but that sticky rice is the best I've had – it's soaked in pandan juice (hence the green hue) so there's a mild sweetness and fragrance, and cooked down so well that every grain is soft and perfectly chewy. 👍👍

Fish was well baked, enjoyed it though it wasn't too filling!

Personally, I like this most as the texture of the fish is firm but not dry & the tangy lime marinade makes it very refreshing! 😋👍

Toa Payoh seems like a hot favourite spot for ice-cream parlours of the late; The Little Prince Creamery is the newest of the lot here. Opened by the same people behind The Little Prince Cafe, this outlet serves as a extension of their first outlet at Somme Road. This new outlet only serves ice-cream with waffles for now during its soft-launch period, with only limited flavours available. Look past that, and sink into the decor where fans of the fairytale might be able to relate to the hand drawn decor and you might just sink into the environment. They have plans to serve similar bakes that are currently served at their Somme Road outlet, as well as mains and other dishes that they are currently unable to serve as they are not able to cook within the old outlet.

i call this ang moh char siew!! very nice!! #porkribs #bbq #honey #dinner #oriole #oriolecafe #charsiew

Find that the ice cream here is not creamy enough, so I went with the rich chocolate ice cream (premium flavour) to go with my waffle. Waffle here is average, not substantial as it tastes light and I find it to be not crisp enough. Matcha latte wasn't too bad!

Came back to try the other flavours! Their soft serves in cups comes with default toppings, thus can't be customised with preferred toppings. Salted Gula Melaka came with a Sesame cracker atop, which was crispy, fragrant and packs a crunchy texture to the smooth soft serve, along with chewy Japanese mochi balls. Soft-serve itself was stellar; smooth and flavourful as the signature sweetness of Gula Melaka was evident through the coconut flavour, yet the saltiness was neutral so it does not become cloying. Will be back some day for this again!
