Came down just for this - it’s actually not a permanent item on the menu as they rotate their items daily, so make sure to check before making your trip! For the price, this was worth it - thick toast with oozy cheese (cheesiness leaned towards the lighter sort) and lots of cheese shavings on the top, with a side of peppers and rockets. Didn’t quite like that the dressing for the rockets was soaked up by the bottom side of our sandwich, but other than that, it’s a good sized dish to share!
Doesn’t get better than this, burpple beyond has one for one. Earl grey lavender for the win! Always love the light and refreshing flavour.
Good stuff! Had a good catch up with friends as we enjoyed our food.
Admittedly was attracted by the cup first. I liked how this wasn’t too sweet (30% sugar) and the delicate flavor of the tea stands out with a bit of a good roasty taste. The layer of milky foam wasn’t overwhelmingly milky and gave a nice tinge of sweetness. They’ve also got a pretty interesting offering of pearl bun but I’m not a fan of pearls generally so didn’t get one to try (yes I take bbt without the bb😂).
Came for desserts at Dark Gallery but ended up making a pit stop here! We wanted something with stronger tea notes and was recommended this. At 30% sugar level, I really liked the roasty fragrance of the smooth tea and how it complemented very well with its slightly sweeter foam milk top. It’s a little pricier but comes with soft chewy pearls included! Pretty impressed and it’s something I’d come back for again, especially to try their yet-to-launch Premium “Hand Pressed” Tea Blends series.
New item! Not too bad, quite generous with the seafood and the pesto isn't too overwhelming. A little on the oily side but I'm no expert, I think it's ok 😅
Their kaya butter toast left deep impression in our previous visit and drew us back today.
Hot or iced, their coffee was still strong and good. However, neither of their traditional nor thin toast was memorable. They lacked that charred toast aroma that we were looking for, although they were still pretty decent. Overall, coffee, eggs and toast were enjoyable for us, especially in a nostalgic place like this.
One of the best Traditional Kaya Toasts I've had! Crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, the toast crumbles gently in your mouth on first bite. The combination of orange Kaya and butter is a winner for me. Not too eggy nor too sweet, the Orange Kaya helps to bring out the buttery goodness, sending much delight to the tastebuds. And the Teh C here is the most fragrant, tastefully pulled to bring out the lovely aftertaste of the carnation milk. Please take the effort to come down here for breakfast, I promise it won't disappoint!
I requested for 2 ounce of milk (for additional 30c). Really strong dose of caffeine.
I loved sitting in the outside area with a cup of tea and watch people go by. Perfect place for resting tired feet after shopping for new year goodies!
