Aesthetics wise, the Atrium Lounge High Tea ($48++ per person) is one of the prettiest high tea I have been to, from the gorgeous picnic basket right down to the dainty little desserts that are almost too cute to be eaten.
We started off with Cranberry Jasmine Tea Scones, which are served warm with jam, butter and mascarpone cheese on the side.
The star of the savoury bites is definitely the Forest Mushroom and Chicken Fricassee with Cheese Au Gratin. It is surprisingly flavourful, creamy and delicious. The Salmon, Avocado and Pickled Cucumber Brioche and Unagi and Tamago Wrap are not bad too - they are pretty light and tasty. However, the Pulled Smoked Wagyu Beef Slider is quite disappointing as the beef is rather dry, and the Open-Faced Sandwich with Tomato, Cream Cheese and Cheddar Shavings did not leave much of an impression either.
The desserts turned out to be the highlight of the high tea as each one of them is crafted beautifully in terms of taste, texture and presentation. I like that the desserts are not too sweet and they are quite light and delicate on the palate, such as the Peppermint Passionfruit Choux Puff, Sweet Potato Mont Blanc and Baked Cheesecake with Yuzu Curd. I do not have a sweet tooth but I must say that I am pretty impressed by the selection of sweet treats!
We ended off with Waffles with Caramel Banana Compote and Cranberry, Lavender and Chocolate Ice Cream/Sorbet in a White Chocolate Ball. The waffles are not as crispy as I like them to be, but the refreshing cranberry sorbet is a nice touch at the end of the meal to balance out the sweetness of the earlier desserts.
Overall, I’m pretty satisfied with the Atrium Lounge High Tea and this is definitely a feast for the eyes and stomach:)!

A very nice hightea spot to chill with my friends over the weekend. Only 2 birdcage is available, advice to make RSVP 2 weeks ahead. Minumum spend for bird cage is $250. (4 pax share 3 sets of highteas, opened a bottle of Prosecco cost $86++, ordered 1 tapas and 1 Caeser Salad.)
Overall the high tea experience is good.

We decided to go for an afternoon tea within the garden oasis @parkroyalcollectionmarinabay on New Year’s Day! A good choice since it was pouring.
Served in a picnic basket, the canapés and sweets are inspired by nature. Aside from the items in the basket, there are waffles with banana compote and ice cream in a white chocolate globe. But food was average and I expected more from a hotel.
Sadly the @twgteaofficial tea selection here is limited to classic options like English Breakfast or Chamomile.

I just tried this chocolate log cake last evening, and I love how rich the chocolate is. It has an outer later of rich chocolate gateau encasing the cake that's primarily chocolate mousse, but balanced by sharp lime and bergamot cremeux, while an apple compote centre also provided textural contrast. Be sure to mix the chocolate with the citrussy core, they're meant to balance each other.

Their mooncake boxes this year are pretty elegant, one is in ruby red and the other is in light turquoise. Both feature champagne-framed transparent lids that showcase the individually boxed mooncakes within, whose singular designs collectively piece together a beautiful painting of orchids, willows and birds. The covers of both boxes may be upcycled and reused as photo frames.

Still getting through the many boxes at home. #bloggerlife #phatty This pretty sesame melon seed from Peach Blossoms @marinamandarinsg is very fragrant and I liked that it's not too sweet as well. Plus it's pretty enough for gifting. There's also a vegetarian 伍仁月饼 which my mum was grateful for.
Part of the new menu of Peach Blossoms (part of Marina Mandarin Hotel) is this beautifully plated tiger prawns may have been deep fried but it still retains a succulent juicy centre with a crisp exterior. It's only lightly seasoned with superior light soya sauce so there's little to distract you from the glory of this large fresh prawn. One of my favorite item in the new menu I tried during the tasting! I was invited by Marina Mandarin Singapore.
