$5.5 - By far the lightest cream puff I’ve eaten. Filling was super generous and not too sweet. Best eaten cold at the cafe! Can’t wait to go back here.

This is a drink that I would highly recommend for tea-lovers, or more specifically, hojicha lovers to get! This drink truly embodies the bitterness of the roasted tea flavour, along with the milky soft serve (Hokkaido milk) 😍
*chefs kiss*

Should I return to Baristart, I would definitely get this again 😊 (** however, it is quite a tiny cup for a drink costing almost $9 so... enjoy in moderation I guess)

Only at Tras Street Outlet, for a limited time only until 30th April 2021

This shaved ice (shiro kuma) dessert is as delicious as raved about! With it’s cute presentation and the “show” of créme brûlée - ing the dessert, this dish is very delicious.

However, this dessert just tastes sweet, with only the strawberry syrup bringing some flavour to the dish. I would recommend for everyone to just try this once, for the IG pics and the novelty of the dish, but that’s about it. It’s just shaved ice packaged differently.

Rating: 4/5, would bring different friends to try it for the pics

🍴Cream Puff ($6 or three for $16.50)
⭐️ 10/10
They say distance makes your heart grow fonder, and I can't think of an occasion that this line was truer than the four months I spent without Baristart's cream puff 🥲 With a gorgeously crispy choux shell piped full of fresh cream made from Hokkaido BIEI Jersey Milk, I could honestly eat this forever. The cream is so delicious that I can eat it on its own! It's a 10/10 from me — if you know me personally, you'll know that I will aggressively beg you to go to Baristart with me if we're in the vicinity of it.

Both of these make for such a good tea time snack. The flat white was good - fragrant and not too bitter or acidic. The cream puff was crunchy on the outside and sinfully good on the inside. As a sweet tooth, this was the right sweetness for me.

This is legit hands down the best cream puff I have ever eaten in my entire life.

The cafe branded themselves as using premium real hokkaido milk in their food.

The cream puff’s cream filling was 1. Not too sweet 2. Palatable and very non jelat with a milky taste that was not overly rich. 3. Spread all around the entire puff and in abundance lol. 4. The cream was chilled but the outer crust is not cold. Hence the difference in temperature is a boost to the experience.

Besides the filling, The puff also ticked off my criteria of it being crispy despite the holding the cold cream inside. It also had some added crunchy bits that gave it a diff texture. It was NOT SOGGY and did not taste like the cheap durian puff kind of puff. All in all, this cream puff was Really done the Japanese standard!

We got ourselves mentally prepared for a price of at least $5. This hits the sweet spot -$6/pc.
