The carrot cake was different with normal carrot cake.
The carrot cake was slightly crispy outside but soft inside, served with chey Poh on the side.
I top up $1.5 for prawn.
The prawn gives an extra crunchy texture into the carrot cake..

I’ve been wanting to try the carrot cake here for the longest time and it was an absolutely delight! The white carrot cake here was super crispy while managing to retain its fluffy interior, and served with a generous amount of chye poh (preserved turnip) that were crunchy and savoury.

The moist sweet radish cake and the smokey crispy egg crust were delightfully contrasted in texture. It was further elevated by the generous hill of crunchy chye poh and spring onions when mixed in. All the ingredients mingled together for a delectable umami bomb in the mouth.

Have yet to find a carrot cake better than the one at 618 Sim Carrot Cake! Crispy and topped generously with cai poh - long queue but totally worth the wait!

[Throwback] Arrived as early as 0730hr to beat the queue. This legendary stall is known for an hour usual awaiting time . i waited for around 40 mins for this plate ($4). . .

Very very crisp eggs that cracks in your mouth when bitten and yes , that generous serving of preserved chai poh is also another iconic highlight here 💫it tastes both good with or without chillies . i will be back soon 👌🏿

Arrived at 7:30 am and already we had to wait an hour for ours. Ordered the one with prawns and it came with much anticipated heap of Cai Poh.
Nicely done, crispy on top and fluffy underneath. They were generous with the egg and Cai Poh. Tasted good too especially eaten in big spoonful of the Cai Poh.
Would list this on our Top 3 for carrot cake and recommend to try this out; although not sure if we would return to wait an hour again. Think we would wait for Chey Sua carrot cake instead. The other unique one we like was the mixed fried yam and carrot cake at 23 Sin Ming Road.
