πŸ„ What we had:

Beef Fillet Wellington ($80) - beef was tasteless and it came cold. skin was flakey and overall the dish seemed to be very wet?? literally saving grace of the dish was the mashed potatoes and the sautΓ©ed vegetables which were sweet. everything else was honestly a huge disappointment.

Large Caesar Salad ($18) - decent salad, but wished the anchovies were in cut to smaller pieces, as it was just eating chunks and chunks of fish, making it overall really salty.

Mushroom Risotto ($32) - the only decent thing on our table. it's very mushroomy, and there were visable chunks of it on the dish, appealing for those who love mushroom! nicely cooked risotto, however the truffle pesto, didn't do much to the dish, no taste as the mushroom was super overpowering.

Traditional Fish & Chips ($30) - batter was wet, and fish was pretty tasteless. fries were soggy because of the wet fish skin.

Mac & Cheese ($16) - ok I have no words for this. if you compared 7-11 mac & cheese with this and put it side by side, you will probably think that the 7-11 mac & cheese was cooked by them, and theirs was from 7-11. there was supposedly garlic roasted crumbs on top, but it just tasted bland, and super tasteless. complete waste of money.

Spaghetti, Tomato sauce ($14) - we ordered the kids spaghetti for the kid, and it was again, tasteless. she was reluctant to eat, that says a lot.

VERDICT: please if Gordan came down to eat this, he would probably just close the whole place down. honestly a big embarrassment to his name, definitely never going back. on top of that, paid $22 for service charge, when they literally treated my family and I like we were non-existent. staff was impatient with us when we ordered, and was super reluctant to serve us.

out of everything, bad service is the worse you can get at these places. literally the most off putting thing and the absolute reason why i will never recommend or go back to this place.

Seared scallops: felt like poor attempt at making this dish regional by adding some sambal-like sauce. Didn’t make sense with the sweet corn mash which was overly sweet.

Mac and cheese: meh. Save your money and buy ready made ones from ntuc

Beef Wellington: absolute disappointment. Beef came out grey and had a gamey livery taste. The poor cow died in vain.

Icing on the cake - we were sat next to a makeshift looking dish collection point which was set right in the middle of the restaurant so it’s also the first thing you see when you enter. Quite a strange choice to place it there, and wasn’t very pleasant to be eating next to other people’s half eaten food, watching the waiters wash the dishes during service, especially since you’re paying through your nose already.

With mashed potatoes, glazed carrots, seasonal greens and red wine jus.
This wasn’t really up to my expectations as the pastry was a bit too dry. Beef was done well which definitely made everything slightly better. What I enjoyed was the carrots as it was glazed and the sweetness was just right. For the price, I was hoping it to be even better.

When I asked him what he want, he said beef Wellington, but due to regulation can’t sit more than 2 people, we decided to takeaway and have it at home so we can have meals as family.
What I do is air fryer it for a few mins, and the result is pastry crisp and flaky outside while Tender and juicy medium rare beef fillet, wrapped in mushroom duxelle, with side mash potatoes, glazed carrot, seasonal greens and red wine juice
πŸ’°$80
To place order for takeaway, customer must go down to the restaurant, no platform online and waiting time 45 mins for beef Wellington

The beef wellington was slightly too flaky and difficult to ear as everything falls apart. Everything feels too mushy and was not up to my expectations. It was still flavourful and the beef was easy to chew, but I would not pay $80 again for this.

This is the best risotto I’ve ever eaten. It was creamy, yet not too sticky. There are many types of cheese used, yet it does not cover the mushroom flavour. I would dine here again just for this risottoπŸ’―
