Beer and chicken goes hand in hand. Chicken and waffles goes hand in hand too. In which case, beer, chicken and waffles goes hand in hand too! Served piping hot with a tiny bowl of maple syrup to-go, the chicken waffles were pretty comforting for a weekend chill-out. Chicken tenders were fried to a crisp, tho I would have preferred the juicer cut of a thigh instead. The waffles were pretty ordinary, and definitely not the crisp, fluffy kind at most ice cream waffles joint. It’s a lil’ denser but still acceptable to the palate
Everything on this dish was spot on .
Perfectly grilled fish on a bed of slithery smooth Soba and accompanied with fresh greens .
The tangy Japanese style vinaigrette brought the whole dish together in a beautiful symphony in my mouth .
Healthy and hearty .
Coming here after a game of futsal has become the ritual: chilling by the river with burger, pizza and beers got to be one of the best way to reward yourself after a game.
Tried the bistro burger that comes with blue cheese, which gives a surprisingly strong kick. The fluffy bun soaks up the essence of the just-right patty ($25 for Bistro Burger)
Ps. This place has entertainer deals!
I still enjoy patronizing the good old restaurant serving the good old style food. This is comfort food.
Among all the handcrafted beer they offered here, I chose a pint of Steam Beer (S$15.00), which has an amber colour, caramel malt flavour, and medium bitterness. Though I must admit that the first sip of it was a little too bitter for me, I actually enjoyed it more towards the halfway mark. As the menu described, it’s possibly the perfect cross between pilsner and pale ale, and it’s pretty much common in California.
Perhaps there is no “live”soccer match telecast shown on TV, and that explains why the restaurant is less than half-filled. However, a pint of beer is still a relaxing way to round up the week.
Crispy pork knuckle that’s comparable to authentic Germain pork knuckle from Brotzeit.
