You probably see minces meat noodles in almost every coffeeshop, but this is different. The queue already tells you that this may be good, and I must say the portions for everything are generous! The noodles are nice and springy, the chilli packs a savoury punch and the ingredients are fresh. Definitely something I will crave if I'm around the area!
Economic Bee Hoon with a varieties of sides. Perfect for breakfast.
.
Location: 302 Choa Chu Kang Ave 4, #01-719, Singapore 680302
This stall in Choa Chu Kang has been around for over 10 years, and still attracts a queue.
.
It benefits from not having nearby competitors, and serving their food hot (with a lot of turnover). Otherwise, it's really just slightly above average.
.
The prawn fritter crackers are the star, crisp and crunchy with enticing sweet savoury salty shrimpy flavour.
.
The chili is shiok, with a sweet nutty spicy kick, and makes everything taste better. Might not be worth travelling for, but good if you're already in the area.

Mee Sua with mushroom, minced pork, slices of lean pork, pork liver and meat ball. OK lah, can eat but nothing special.
.
Location: Seng Huat, CCK 302 FoodHouse, 302 Choa Chu Kang Ave 4, #01-719, Singapore 680302
Portion was big but slightly pricey. Taste was ok, there's a bit of extra oil
Saucy type, toppings were all good except for the liver which was average. Pork slices were very tender, minced pork had a significant proportion of fats in the best way and pork meatballs were so soft too. Mushrooms were extremely well braised.
Soup was flavourful. Sambal was more the tangy type which wasn't really my thing and lacks heat.
Overall a solid bowl
This hearty bowl of goodness really hits the spot. The noodles were perfectly cooked with enough sauce to coat every strand. The noodles will slowly soak up the sauce, which makes it more delicious as you eat it! Portion is a little small, but you can save your stomach space for the beancurd stall in this coffee shop!
I usually eat the bak chor mee and this ngoh hiang as side. Not fantastic but comforting enough. Love the crispy prawn crackers.
Some strands of undercooked mee sua clump together, tiny morsels of minced meat, 2 meatballs and some mushrooms. Definitely not enough to keep you filled. Don’t really understand the long queue for this too.
A simple nostalgia.
Brisk queue for the plate of Fried Noodles $3.60 with fried egg, fish cake and taukwa.
Cup of brewed Kopi O $1.10 only.

The signature Mee Sua Dry version of minced meat noodle only $3.50 a bowl.
Truly addictive for those who loved mee sua, mix the sambal chilli then indulge.
Highly recommended.
Their ingredients are very well seasoned. The mushrooms and sauce really give you that oomph feeling at the end. 🤤👌🏻
2nd Picture: Dry Fishball noodles! Personally I don’t really like my fish balls to have the strong fishy taste and this stalls never fails to give me fresh chewy fishballs.
I have been eating this for years and it’s really good comfort food esp when you are hungry in the middle of the night. 👍🏻👍🏻👏🏻

You can't go wrong with the Mushroom Minced Meat Noodles ($3.50).
.
Opened 24hrs daily, you can have it any-time any-day! I'm sure people who stayed in the North-West especially CCK area will agree with me, that this is probably the best supper you can ever have when you feel hungry in the middle of the night.
I grew up eating this Ngoh Hiang Bee Hoon and I think people living in Choa Chu Kang have most likely heard of this underrated Ngoh Hiang stall located in this popular 24-hour coffee shop so I feel it’s worth a mention.
In the morning, the stall sells Economic Bee Hoon. In the afternoon, they are converted to Ngoh Hiang Bee Hoon. They have a wide variety of Liao to choose from. The Ngoh Hiang, Tau Kwa and Prawn Crackers are a must order. The Ngoh Hiang is tasty while the Tau Kwa is crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The Prawn Cracker is light and crispy too. Paired with the humble Fried Bee Hoon and the sweet and sour chili dip, it is the ultimate sinful choice for supper.
For $12.50, it is more than enough to satisfy your supper needs and your craving for deep fried food. Best shared among loved ones.

This comforting bowl of Bak Chor Mee is solid. It is very well-balanced and the umami will rock your tastebuds.
I went with Mee Pok as usual. The noodles are springy, chewy and on point when mixed with the chili sauce and the tangy vinegar. This simple yet complex bowl is definitely heavy in flavour.
There are minced meat, meat balls, braised mushrooms and I particularly liked the liver. The liver which has a nice texture is well-cooked but the gamey taste is not for everyone. The bowl of soup at the side also helps to cleanse the palate. Overall, the taste is awesome and it is one of my all-time favourite Bak Chor Mee stall.
Dry dumpling noodles from the handmade noodles stall at cck 302 foodhouse beside the old cck bus interchange. $3.50 per bowl. Comes with only 4 steamed dumplings and quite a big portion of noodles. Said stall sells pig organ soup as well. Rating: 3/5 stars.
Hidden gem of the Coffeeshop.
Daily freshly made soya milk beancurd, $1.30 a bowl, available hot and chilled.
Highly recommended on the Roasted Soya Beans, $2 per cup, so light, crunchy, healthy and great source of soya protein fibre.
Taste slightly like roasted broad beans.
From Xiang Ji Roasted Meat.
Huge list on the menu.
Impressive roasted meat hanging at the stall.
$3.50 for Classic traditional Wanton Mee!
Springy egg noodles, caramelised sauce char siew and savoury soft wanton.
Highly recommended!
A choice for supper hunting as this coffee shop is opened 24 hours and interestingly, it gets crowded after 10pm. This place houses a few popular stalls, particularly Hock Lian Huat Ngoh Hiong Prawn Cracker and Seng Huat Signature Bak Chor Mee with never ending long queues.
As with many ngoh hiong stalls, Hock Lian Huat has an array of the usual ngoh hiong ingredients. But what’s more enjoyable is that the ingredients were not that oily even after frying, unlike some that stain your mouth with oil all over. Especially the white prawn cracker! The first time I had it, to me it was a little under flavored. But I realized even though it was not greasy, there was a lingering aroma that comes through with each bite of the super crispy cracker! Tasted even better with their sweet and slightly spicy chili sauce that has an added nuttiness from the chopped peanuts on top. So good, that I always ended up wiping the bowl clean.
Lastly, I love the fried bee hoon here. It’s lightly fried with soya sauce and a simple dish that brings back fond childhood memories. Can’t describe the taste of it that’s so special which I seldom find it nowadays, but it feels like a simple home cooked dish.
