Bedrock Mac n' Cheese

So I decided to bring him to Bedrock (mommy cheapskate, using @entertainersg 1for1 Main, coz he eat a lot 😅).
Feature Ribeye Cap Steak (300gr) medium rare. Its tender, juicy and with minimum of fat.
The other item that must order is the mac and cheese. With the crisps top while underneath is creamy and cheese. Super shiok 😋.
💰$128 for Ribeye.
💰$22 for Mac N Cheese.
📍Bedrock Bar & Grill.

It must be a signature when the brand's name is in the dish's name. Some people think I don't like mac & cheese. What I don't like is mediocre mac & cheese. A good mac & cheese is irresistible. I won't gush over this like many diners do, but it's very good for sure. An outstanding crust covers some very rich but not jelak cheeses. The macaroni here isn't curved, it's straight.

(Made even sweeter by the 1-for-1 offer by @entertainersg) PS: Their Mac & Cheese is the best I’ve had in Singapore!

Sake ribeye portion stated for two good value but we were 5 ladies were struggling to finish it! With sides of truffle mash potatoes MAC n cheese n vegetables! Excellent service by the staff! Good environment!

Good side option if you want a vegetable dish, yet something slightly decadent and playful. Love the gooey blue cheese smothered sweet potatoes which goes well with the chunky bacons strips. This underrated side is much better than the better known Mac and cheese in my opinion. Recommend for sharing!

Widely known as a comfort food, the mac & cheese here has a crispy cheesy crust with a creamy gooey macaroni. Packed full of flavours with the differing mouthfeel texture, it perfectly complements with your steak, bringing you to food euphoria at the end of the meal.

Since our first visit to @bedrocksg it has been our favourite place for years.
Awesome cut perfectly done medium-rare with a char finishing, good on its own you don’t really need any sauce but just a sprinkle of sea salt. With a glass of red wine, this was enough to complete the meal.
Here, other than their appetising flatbread with grilled garlic, their Mac & Cheese was definitely our top-ranked amongst many places.
So yes, 100% our recommended place for a good steak dinner this Christmas, or anytime of the year.

I am embarrassed to admit I had never seen the inside of “Bedrock Bar & Grill” till last Sunday night. And what a revelation it was to discover that hidden from the main thoroughfare is a spacious, cosily-lit, comfortable restaurant.
“Exceeding expectations” would be an apt description for our evening, as my party of four feasted on a menu planned by the General Manager.
It began with a bang when steaming hot, soft and puffy flatbread was brought out. Rolled and baked only when main course orders are placed, it tasted incredible slathered with butter and roasted cloves of garlic.
Our main course of Tomahawk Steak (400gms grain-fed) could have easily fed a village. Expertly grilled, the huge long-bone ribeye boasted different done-ness to appeal to our varying preferences. Accompanying the steak were four sides: the totally-deserving-of-its-fame Bedrock Mac & Cheese ($20++), a healthy Steamed Broccolini ($18++) plus two items from the restaurant's promotional menu: Steak Fries and Chilli Corn (this last one was too spicy for the others but I adored it). There was also a tray of five condiments of which I was most into the Whisky Mustard and Chimichurri while the Red Wine Sauce, Béarnaise and Asian-tasting Chilli Oil went down well with everyone else.
Besides the Tomahawk, we got to share a plate of Prawn “Thermidor” ($48++) and that surprised us with a show-stealing umami orzo pasta simmered in crustacean sauce.
The service here is professional and warm, similar to what you’d experience at a 5-star hotel. In case you think it’s because we were hosted, I saw the team treat the other customers exactly the same.
We all agreed this is a place we’ll be returning on our own soon.
