Perfect dish on a hot sweltering day. 😍 I think this dish will be a hit among the office ladies as it's light and healthy.

As for the men, I will highly recommend the truffle beef yakiniku don as its portion is slightly larger than the cold truffle somen.

Yuki Onna is more well-known for its Chirashi Rice Bowls and Truffle Beef Yakiniku. But one bite into this dish and I was completely floored. Chewy, cold somen akin to angel-haired pasta tossed in truffle oil that was fragrant yet not too overpowering β€” definitely suitable if you're looking for a refreshing bite on a hot day. Paired with fresh scallops, shredded wakame and a smattering of caviar artistically dolloped atop, this is truly simplicity at its finest. Coming from someone who is not a huge truffle fan, you know you're getting the good stuff.

Served refreshingly chilled and throughly tossed in truffle oil, the somen was cooked just nice, topped with fresh sweet slices of hotate (that I hopped was thicker) and a dollop of caviar. It was flavorful and enjoyable though it got a little jelat at the end. Remember to toss them right away when served before the noodles start to stick together. The portion wasn't as small as I expected to be from what I've seen on photos, but not that big enough for a full meal either.

While it gets pretty warm there especially if you're in office wear, the somen comes cold with fresh scallops and a dallop of caviar. This almost felt like the little sister to gunther's well known cold truffle angel hair pasta. Although the portions are tiny relative to what you pay for, its flavourful and very easy on the palate. Definitely a good choice for the occasional lunch splurge. Mmmm🀀

Cold Truffle Somen with Hotate ($14.90)

Everyone orders this too. I felt it was alright, though a little disproportionate because I had hoped there would be more Hotate (scallops). No regrets ordering thus, but also not sure if I'd order this again.

We did order some sides within the order sheet βœπŸ“„, but they somehow got lost in transit & were never served.

It won't be long till this new addition at Far East Square is discovered by the healthy-eating office workers in the vicinity, so head down as soon as you can to avoid the long wait. Yuki Onna serves tasty Make Your Own Bowls (from $7.90) as well as Dons (from $13.90) and Sushi Sets (from $12.90). The medium Make Your Own Bowl ($15.90) comes with a salad base, two fish options, one carb and five toppings β€” enough to sate one very hungry tummy comfortably. Choose from four fish marinades for either your salmon or tuna β€” original shoyu, yuzu shoyu, yuzu miso or spicy. Then add on sushi rice, quinoa (additional $1 charge) or have it strictly with greens. Finally, go crazy on the toppings β€” cranberries, cherry tomatoes and even olives to add extra flavour to your bowl! If you're looking for something fuss free, opt for their Bara Chirashi ($14.90) instead. It comes with thick chunks of salmon, tuna, hamachi, tobiko and ikura. Although portions run small for the Cold Truffle Somen with Hotate ($14.90), the simple but flavourful bowl comes with a generous topping of caviar and sliced Hokkaido scallops, definitely worth splurging on especially since there's no GST or service charge!

Mmm, truffle somen... Mmm, hotate... All things I enjoy in a nice little bowl. πŸ˜‹

A really nice way to start a meal, the cold noodles was delightfully flavoured with truffle and had a nice bite to it. It came with 5 thin slices of sweet hotate which was a pleasure to have as well. πŸ™Œ

Not the cheapest around though for the portion but definitely tasty and if you enjoy cold noodles and truffles, this will have you slurping in no time! 🍜

Cold Truffle Somen with Hotate ($14.90)

I really love cold Somen!!! Could get enough of this truffle somen at newly opened @yukionnasg ! Somen was topped with Hokkaido hotate / scallop slices and caviar. Definitely very flavourfulπŸ™ŒπŸΌ. Only wished the portion was slightly larger as this felt more like a side rather than a main for the average guyπŸ˜‚.
