I think @wolfgangssteakhousesg is kinda becoming the boys birthday tradition.

For starters, I will recommend their thick cut bacon and crab cakes. I love their thick juicy and savoury bacon. Anyone knows a supplier who sells a thick cut bacon steak?

As for their steaks, I will have their fillet mignon over their porterhouse steaks any day. The filet mignon is known as the Roast-Royce of steaks due to its great tenderness and this really shows!

Wolfgang's steaks are tender and juicy but it somehow lacks a "omph" for me as I personally prefer meats with a stronger robust beefy flavour. I know Wolfgang has their fans but I kinda prefer the little bistecca which is located across the road.

Incredible service from the staff, food was great too! We ordered medium rare steak and wasn’t disappointed, meat was tender and juicy on the inside and crispy on the outer layer.

Then came the star of the day - Porterhouse for 2. The steak arrived in a sizzling hot plate, where the oil was still happily bubbling away and we were warned not to touch the plate. Grilled to a thrilling shade of rust and brown, the steak is placed on the table for us to worship (hahaha I kid). I took a couple of quick shots while the staff patiently waited for me before she proceeded to place 2 pieces on my plate, all while describing their cut. Featuring the meatier loin and ridiculously soft tenderloin, it's clear which is my favourite. My knife easily sliced through the tenderloin like how butter would, evident of its tenderness and succulence. The pool of oil/butter went exceedingly well with the beef when the waiter spooned a couple of drops over it, enhancing the depths of its flavour.

US prime beef dry aged Tenderloin and Sirloin pieces in Medium Rare. SOOOO GOOD.


That my friends, was how impressed we were with this massive slab of Porterhouse for Two ($209++) at @wolfgangssteakhousesg. Now before you balk at the price, short of writing an essay I’d sum this with a couple of words: this is a splurge worth making at least once in your lifetime. If you know your beef cuts, a porterhouse steak combines the tender filet mignon with the meaty-flavoured New York strip into one dinner extravaganza. What that means is enough meat to satisfy any die-hard carnivore, as well as 2 very different experiences on a single plate. The lean tenderloin’s exceedingly buttery and silky, succulent and mild in flavour — it literally melted in our mouths. The New York strip on the other hand boasts a stronger beefy flavour as well as a more meaty bite, but was no less satisfactory and mind-blowing. Can I also point out how every thicc slice was beautifully caramelised on the exterior? 🥰 Suffice to say every bite was nothing short of sheer bliss, especially when you’ve got some of its resting juices drizzled right over the steak 🤤🤤 I don’t claim to be a steak connoisseur or enough of an expert to label this as “The Best”; but I’d easily call this “My Best” steak experience thus far.

As it was sizzling its way to the table, I was so ready to experience a steak that made @foodkingnoc cry😢. Evenly cooked to a blushing medium rare, the steak was extremely tender and juicy, despite being lean. With a beautiful char finish, it also tasted more beefy in flavour rather than just fats. Not gonna lie, dining here can be pretty pricey but it’s all worth it😋!

P.S. I'd recommend getting their thick bacon🥓 slice too!

The Porterhouse is made out of two parts; the tenderloin and the strip steak on either side of the T-shaped bone.

This blushing piece of beef is the strip steak, along with some steamed broccoli (for a change in texture and taste), and it was done medium. Ok I should have gone for medium rare, but this was still so incredibly juicy and flavorful. It was served sizzling hot and the juices still bubbling away on the bottom of the plate. My eyes positively popped out biting into this piece of steak. I loved the tenderloin portion more, because it was was even more soft and tender, juice exploding out with each bite. They also provided a bottle of their house sauce which was really delicious; sweet, tangy and just paired really well with the steak.

Service was really warm and on-point with the waiters being attentive and filling our plates efficiently.

This is the size for 2 pax but we share this among 4 person with additional sides. It was served sizziling hot on the hot plate. Steak was seared to medium rare, very tender and juicy. Meat was slightly seasoned with salt and it enhances the beef flavour! Better remove all the meat before it is further “cooked” by the hot plate till well done because that’s what happens to ours.

Of course, I take every chance I have to go to @wolfgangssteakhousesingapore for that guilty pleasure, and so we took my dad last week to this great place for a great time.
