Hearty breakfast delivery for days that we just wanna laze in bed and skipped the queue especially on weekends. Surprised to find @carrotsticksandcravings which i wanted to try listed in @foodpandasg. There is also other $1.99 and many free delivery promotions.
Latest restaurants added include @sushiteisg, @kamsroast_sg, @papparichsg, @gongchasgofficial, @tonkatsukazan.
Also in frame, manwich ($20) that comes with salad and also Banana Avocado Smoothie ($8). Yay to eating clean.

Situated in a secluded and serene corner of Dempsey, this is a perfect place to chill and have a lazy weekend brunch. I usually don’t order avocado on toast outside but their avocado, poached eggs and smoked salmon on sourdough ($27) was simple yet delicious. The avocado was not too finely smashed and together with the feta cheese, it was indeed very palatable. This is how avo on toast should be done. Didn’t had space for their home made sweet treats but would be back again for sure.

Located just off Dempsey at Loewen Road, this chic cafe is looking to be the new hangout place for expat mummies. Nutrition and wholesome eating are the driving forces behind the compact menu, which sees the likes of sourdough sandwiches, salads and a few treats, with dairy and gluten-free options. Served on sourdough, the Smashed Avo ($18) is a classic that gets an Egyptian twist with the addition of dukkah, a heady spice mix that adds both warmth and complexity. What we really liked though is the Meredith Goat's Cheese with Thyme Roasted Mushrooms ($18), another open-faced sourdough sandwich that combines goat's cheese with roasted portobello chunks and sprouts for a flavourful, textural treat. According to Burpple Tastemaker Xing Wei Chua, the coffee is brewed from beans roasted by Brother Basil & Co. The Flat White ($6) is balanced and smooth, and a good albeit slightly pricy option. We suggest skipping the Organic Turmeric Latte ($8), which we found bland and flat-tasting, with hardly any flavour from the spice.

The idea of the marriage of tart sumac and smoked salmon was probably what sold this toast for me. Expected to like this most, but somehow the flavours weren't as strong as we expected. Not to say that it wasn't good (it was pretty tasty 😋), just wished for more beetroot flavour (it was more tangy than earthy) and perhaps a touch more chilli and salt — the last two you can easily remedy with the readily available condiments.

My favourite out of the three toasts we tried here.
Just the right amount of goat's cheese (and herb oil) smeared on toasted sourdough topped with roasted portobello chunks, sprouts and herbs. The mushrooms could have been juicier, but other than that, I really enjoyed this.

Hard to go wrong with good sourdough, mashed avocado and feta crumbs. I liked the tanginess of the avo, though seasoning was on the lighter side – personally, I would have preferred more salt and dukkah.

Young, blonde children with French accents jumped on trampolines, pet poodles with names like Miu Miu and hair more permed and sassy than Michelle Chong’s wig yelped with ferocity, and squirrels scurried across the road with their bushy tails a-swinging as I languorously enjoyed my Ham, Avocado and Tomato Herb Sourdough Toastie, Açai Berry Bowl with Peanut Butter Granola, Mocha and Caramel Coconut Square.


Yet another of their Sourdough specials, this was absolutely on point as a weekend brunch treat. Again, that crisp herb Sourdough that was crusty and chewy within was a clear winner, especially considering the sourness that came from its fermentation — a joy to have with the pesto and goat cheese spread atop. While I do enjoy cheese, I am not one who quite enjoys goat cheese for its gaminess — was pretty surprised to find how the goat cheese pulled off here with the rest of the components; its evident, but not overly strong as it creates the that binding flavour behind all the other elements. The mushrooms were hard not to love; really chunky pieces that provides a bite and very earthy as well. While being a meatless option, I actually found myself really loving this, so much so I actually totally forgotten it was meatless until writing this post!
