Reviews

From the Burpple community

My first visit to Gather and i ordered their two most popular items, Burnt Caramel Crepe (sweet) and Off the Bone Galette (savoury)!

I enjoyed the Burnt Caramel Crepe (although its a tad overpriced), with the soft & eggy crepe soaking up the fragrant Bordier butter and burnt caramel really well! Seen many reviews talking about the noise situation, and i have to agree that it was really noisy when i dined there, so hopefully they can do something about this.

Different staff but same great warm service, coupled with yummy crepes! I loved the fig and camembert crepe and it turned out they sell the jam in-house. For the interested, the jam used is fig and earl grey and retails at $18 a jar

On weekends, there is a long queue of customers - almost none above the age of 35, and almost all yuppies because at $25-30 per pax, it ain’t cheap . The crêpes are decent, but besides crêpes and a few below-average-looking sandwiches, there’s nothing else. Service is enthusiastic, but it’s slow, and they don’t have basic things like toothpicks, Tabasco sauce or chilli. One quarter of the place is for retail - clearly a wasteful use of space as turnover cannot be high. Don’t take your Dad to Gather for Father’s Day; he’d rather go to Mother House restaurant also on North Bridge Rd.

Sweet Crepe
Fig & Camembert - $16

Visually it’s already different from the usual presentation, this sweet crepe has been cut into bite size pieces! The heat might be too strong when preparing the crepe so it tasted close to Indian Tosai, quite an interesting flavour. The fig jam by the side is made with earl grey, camembert & honey. Very unique combination. If you love savoury crepes, can try the Parma Ham ($18), which is very flavourful. Soak yourself in the chillax environment
