You probably can’t see but there’s actually mock pork belly slices in this pot too! On top of the generous portion of ingredients, I’m glad that the broth was really comforting and tasty too. To make things even better, they provided a portable Japanese stove to keep the sukiyaki pot boiling hot!👍

Mitoboru is known as Japanese Meatballs in English.

Drenched in a sauce that’s slightly spicy, these maki are made of sliced cherry tomato, sliced radish, half a mock meatball and fried sushi rice rolled with mock prawn, avocado and cucumber.

Best to be shared among 4 pax! Pretty good I must say.

Ordered their ramen and unagi maki. Both dishes were well done and very delicious. Portion size is sufficient. One of the best Vegetarian restaurants in SG!

Found a fully vegetarian zen Japanese restaurant in Singapore! Sushi, sashimi, bento, ramen, gyoza, curry, they have it all!

Vegetarian sushi (yay!) - tried the Unagi Maki ($15) which was super delicious and loved the toppings.

Overall it was a super filling and delectable meal - didn’t mind the dark interiors with ambient lights - ordered our food on iPads and the items arrived fairly quickly- liked the efficiency and the promptness of the staff.

If you’re vegan, vegetarian or lactose intolerant, and even if you’re not, you must try this place.

The Katsu curry set ($18)- was soooo flavourful and shiok. The mock chicken was so crispy, perfect compliment to the curry.

Vegetarian sushi (yay!) - The Crispy Floss Maki ($14-15) had a generous coating of crispy floss, a good contrast to the soft sushi rice.

The vast menu had so many enticing veg options we have to make several visits to try them all.

30% off all items over $10.

Excellent crab meat maki

Crunchy

Spicy

Delicious.

My favourite vegetarian food ever.

Herbivore is a MUST try, even if you’re not a vegetarian/vegan! We were super blown away by their food and how flavourful each dish was (and how similar they were to their meat counterparts). Vegetarian Japanese food? Never thought that it was possible for them to replicate the sushi dishes but they did it so so well :)

We tried the cheese and unagi maki! Super shiok and satisfying. They added crunch to improve the texture and mouthfeel, and the flavours were on point. We also ordered several soba and udon for sharing – didn’t disappoint! Especially the curry udon.

Good solid dish to start the meal here.

Ordered 1 bowl to share, just to prep ourselves for the main course later.

Ramen as appetiser.

Udon was great, nothing could go wrong with the tofu. The gyoza is filled with mushroom. The tuna made with konjac apparently. I didn't taste that. Overall OK but not cheap. Paid $300 plus for 9 pax.

I really love this. And I very seldom love vegetarian food.

I was really surprised by this dish, I never thought it would taste so good.

Especially since I was dreading having vegetarian tgt with the wife.

It was crispy and it was so flavorful

👍👍

Yakitori (~$6): a really gREAT attempt at yakirori!!! Ok this tasted like those yakitori meat sticks you get from toriq 😋😋 It was slightly too salty for my liking but I would eat this over normal meat any day 🤯

‘Crabmeat’ maki (~$18): not that impressive and didn’t wow me as much as the unagi 🦀 Crabmeat lacked texture, and the inside was filled with capsicum (which I didn’t rly like). BUT it was nicely fried and crispy on the edges which added a lot of texture to the otherwise moist dish!

‘Pork’ Katsu Rice Set (~$18): again MINDBLOWING at how closely it mimicked real Pork katsu. In the words of my Brother “I could replace real meat with this”, and I couldn’t agree more. Consistency of the ‘Pork’ was solid and it lacked the oiliness and fattiness of real Pork 👍🏻

Spicy Ramen Set (~$18) came with Gyoza filled with mushrooms 🍜🥟 Imo preferred this vegetarian gyoza to your normal Chinese style gyoza, and this says something considering imma veggie hater 😛 Ramen wasn’t that unique, and the attempt at charshu was okay but nothing like the actual thing, since it didn’t have the ‘melt in your mouth’ texture ☹️

Shookening vegetarian unagi??? Vegetarian unagi maki (~$18) was definitely on the pricier side but DAMN I couldn’t tell it wasn’t unagi unless I was purposely looking out for it🍣🍣 Both my eyes and my mouth were fooled 🤪 The only main difference I’d say is that the ‘unagi’ lacked the smokiness of your normal unagi, but damn it was 👌🏻

The visual was just so aesthetically decorated! You will can’t go wrong with this to pair with your main dish. Each of the maki are paired with creamy avocado on top.

Look similar like the usual pork katsu but nope this is a vegetarian meal.

The portion was really huge for me, I almost couldn’t finish it. The set also comes with salad, miso soup and pudding dessert.

The food looks amazing, and tastes as delicious as a good version of the real thing, from sashimi to unagi to ramen. Only the tempura is less than succulent. They should try to make mock uni. Excellent service.

I couldn't believe that everything we ordered had no animal product!!! It was amazing and so filling!! My sister was not a fan of the konjac sashimi however our vegetarian friend didn't mind it. Worth coming here even for meat eaters!!!
