Savory and milky soup with flavor and benefits from perilla seeds.

(S$14.90++)

A Hidden Korean Food Restaurant in One Raffles Place, and I must say the food here is really close to those you can find in South Korea. The Soondubu Jjigae ($12.90) packs a punch, but has a strong vegetable and seafood broth flavour. Paired with rice, this may be the most satisfying meal during a rainy day. The seafood pancake ($18) is crispy, fluffy and not too doughy, and its packed with seafood ingredients. Love how the charred flavour is nicely incorporated in the pancake!

The side dishes provided are really satisfying as well, and they are free flow 😍😍

Spicy seafood tofu stew ($14.20) with gimbap ($9.90) is heartier food that is simple and flavourful. The stew was rich with seafood and still hot when delivered, and the seaweed rice roll was packed with beef bulgogi and other ingredients. Absolutely delicious and comforting!

It’s rare to find tungsuyuk, commonly known as Korea’s interpretation of sweet and sour pork in Singapore. So of course I had to order this when I chanced upon it at JoAH Korean Restaurant right in the heart of Raffles Place. The strips of pork were sinfully crispy and slathered in a tasty sauce and topped with shredded purple cabbage and carrot and black sesame seeds. I had also ordered seafood soondubu but I almost managed to polish off the entire plate of tungsuyuk... on my own. That’s how good this tungsuyuk is.

($24 - Large, $16 - Small). For this price the portion is fairly average. One gripe was that we had to choose either the sweet or the spicy, with no option to mix both. The chicken was well marinated but the sweetness made the dish flat after awhile.
