Finally went down to porridge at coffeehouse with my colleagues as she always recommended for ordering the porridge before 11 a.m. as waiting time goes up 15 to 30 mins only but after peak hours, waiting time goes up to 1 - 2 hrs according to her. Pork and Sliced Fish (Small Size - $4) really up to the standard as they provided a lot of ingredients and serving size such as minced pork, pork liver and sliced fish. It's so worth it to order their porridge once in a blue moon if you felt that you just wanna eat something light. The ingredients for prawn mee such as minced pork meat, pork liver and also sliced fish was really freshly made daily. Porridge got that thick texture with adding half-cooked egg got creamy texture. The taste for porridge was really got old school style and also really want to order pork and chicken version next time.

Perfect for breakfast, one of my favourite Pork Porridge, that is worth waiting

Location: Johore Road Boon Kee Pork Porridge, 638 Veerasamy Rd, Singapore 200638

This stall attracts a constant crowd and is often sold old before its closing time. We waited more than 45 mins upon ordering at 8am just to get our hands on these comforting and satisfying bowls of thick Hainanese porridge on a rainy weekend morning.

The porridge has a thick and grainy texture which gives a homely feel. There are four main ingredients to their porridge - pork, chicken, cuttlefish and sliced fish with an additional option to add an egg or century egg. The standard pork porridge comes with a generous amount of minced pork, lean meat, pig stomach, liver, tung choy (preserved Chinese cabbage), fried shallots and dough fritters while their ‘all in’ option has additional ingredients such as chicken, cuttlefish, sliced fish, century egg and egg.

Pork Porridge with Century Egg 》$4.50 / Big
All In 》$5.50

Definitely contender for best porridge in Singapore. My waiting time on a weekend lunch time is approximately 50mins. I saw a telephone number listed. U can actually call in to place your order, so don't need to wait here so long.

The ingredients were all fresh and the entire bowl was just a burst of Umami-Ness.

The all-in porridge comes with egg, century egg, cuttlefish, batang fish, minced pork, pig liver etc etc etc. Literally all in.

Btw, This coffee shop is filled with lots of good good, the pork liver noodles, fried chicken and fishhead steamboat is all good here.

PSA call in advance to order then just collect when you arrive

So they will ask you if you want innards. I tot it's like add on but apparently no. Nonetheless because I didn't get innards I got a lot of pork slices and minced pork so not complaining

The food was really good but I didn't have the best experience here. They told me the wait was 25mins, in the end waited for 45mins. Standing there no seat...

Nonetheless, the porridge was clean but spiked with sweetness and sourness from the pickled veg. Ingredients were cooked well too. It wasn't super savoury but the balance of flavours were immaculate and super addictive. The spring onions and fried spring onions were very fragrant too despite leaving it there for a while.

They honestly deserve a queue, I would have thought they're good enough to be worth 25mins queue. But 45mins is really pushing it. Still it's one of the best and most unique yet familiar ones I've had
