Tender pork slices stir‑fried with ginger and scallion, served with rice and a sunny side up. The pork was nicely tender but the portion leaned on the smaller side, though the egg helped round it out. I still wished there had been a touch more pork to balance the meal 》$6

($6.90) its quite spicy aftertaste when served in hot but I felt that spicy chicken serving was quite less :")

Vegetarian braised Ee Fu noodle came with mushroom slices and sauce coating the strands. Not quite the style of Ee Fu I expected but the earthy mushrooms and light seasoning gave it a clean profile. Different from my usual idea of Ee Fu yet still a plate that tasted fine in its own way 》$5.90

From the Japanese stall. Average lah. The cutlet had to lead the way but was underwhelming.

From the Korean stall. Meat was not the best. Slightly tough and no beef taste. Egg was thin but alright. I love their chilli sauce.

Teochew stall. Not in a pot because I dabao. Good spices. But oily and slightly boring.

Instead of proper diced chicken, nearly half of it was just crispy chicken skin. It feel more like a crunchy filler than a satisfying dish. While the flavours were alright, it didn’t feel worth the price for what was essentially a skin-heavy dish rather than the hearty, meaty bite I expected 》$13.80

Nothing fancy, just an average bowl of MXG that gets the job done. The medium spice level brings warmth without overwhelming, making it a reliable choice when a quick mala fix is all I need 》$21

I wanted upsize and they didn't disappoint. Hahaha. Ate til explode. I was also worried about sour & spicy noodle but it's satisfying! Impressive ingredients and acceptable flavours.

Green curry chicken with rice @ $5.50

Not bad, and it's got a bit of spiciness (some places serve simply sweet green curry). Ingredients are quite generous too.

It's fine but that's because it's green curry what. Nothing special.

I felt U Mian ($4.00) @ Kopitiam (Hougang 1) was quite soft and overcooked noodles. But I felt that not much springly feel for the noodles. I want to go outside for hunting ban mian shop.

Chicken Rice Set ($20 for 4 pax) was quite affordable set meal for takeaway. I think the gravy for chicken rice was quite oily and absorb well with rice and chicken. I felt rice was quite dry texture but got flavourful taste.

Sergeant's replacement. We came for chicken rice so gave them a try. As someone critical of chicken rice, it did its job. The rice was decent while the serious chicken soup was delicious. Everything else was so-so.

pad thai was too sweet & bland. the noodles weren’t well-cooked through too.

Hidden gem for me in Hougang One mall Kopitiam. All stalls were great, but this mala stall packs a punch for their spices. Spiciness level is about the same as Ri Ari Xiang Guo in Chinatown for reference or other normal singaporean mala stalls.
