Disappointed that initial soup is not hot. When added 2nd soup serving, its good and hot. Service is fast and friendly.
Peppery soup, meat tender are balanced (not all ribs given are tough meat)

They sell many other dishes, not limited to the typical few BKT dishes.

This meal is average.
I would come all the way here for this (unless i run errands around here)

Had a very hearty dinner ($33.80 for 3 pax) at Lau Ah Tee Bak Kut Teh (5min walk from Boon Keng MRT) with my family over the weekends and it’s pretty good stuff:)! We order Bak Kut Teh, braised pork trotter, braised small and large intestines and taupok and preserved vegetables. The Bak Kut Teh soup is super peppery and the pork rib (龙骨) has a nice bite to it. I love to dip it in dark sauce with chilli and gnaw the meat straight off the bone🍖 The braised pork trotter has a good mix of fatty and lean meat (love the option of 半肥半瘦 i.e. half fatty half lean) and the flavourful braised platter and preserved vegetables go really well with rice😍 Lau Ah Tee Bak Kut Teh might not be as well-know as the popular BKT chains out there, but it’s definitely a heartland gem:)!

A delicacy that'll suit your cravings for something sourish and not so spicy. The meat from a fish head was tender with a delectable fatty texture 😋. You may also try their prawn paste chicken. During peak hours, diners may face long queue. Chop your table before 6pm to avoid the crowd. .

Love their pork ribs, so tender and delicious! They offer teochew styles dishes here too, their freshly steamed fish is also a must order.

Got the BKT, pig trotters, tau pok, salted veg... and the randomest of all, a teochew steamed fish. An interesting coffeeshop place near Boon Kang MRT which has both the typical BKT dishes and those dishes you usually order with teochew mui (their squid was unfortunately sold out).

Found the peppery BKT soup too oily, instead gravitated towards the clear broth in the steamed fish, which was cooked with lots of ginger and that sour plum thing, resulting in a sour-ish broth with the sweetness from the fish meat. Nice nice love to come back for the fish. I think the fish was only $28? Which according to my parents is damn cheap (Ah Orh's fish was ~$40 ermahgaad).

Stumbled upon this BKT place while looking for a carrot cake stall at the market nearby (which closed for the day already). Overpriced and kinda overhyped I feel. Even Song Fa is slightly better, imo.
