I liked the tart tasting ones (passionfruit/ the matcha which had yuzu). Pretty, so it would (look) good as a gift, but tasted mediocre for the price imo. Coffee was pretty decent!

We were looking for a cafe to get some work done ๐โโ๏ธ๐โโ๏ธ and spotted Leckerbaer across the street. Peeking in to take a look, we were greeted by neatly arranged rows of their adorable bite-sized smรฅkagers, danish butter cookies, and tarts. Having just had lunch we settled on their ๐๐๐ข๐ค๐ฃ ๐๐ฃ๐ ๐๐๐ง๐ก ๐๐ง๐๐ฎ ๐๐๐ง๐ฉ ($8.50) ๐๐ as recommended by the friendly staff at the cafe.

This was a smol, inconspicuous but SO beautiful pastry. To describe, it was a torched meringue ๐ฆ piped atop a buttery tart filled with lemon curd. The meringue carried subtle notes of earl grey and had us contemplating whether this was what clouds โ๏ธโ๏ธ were made of, however, it was the lemon that brought its sour punch ๐ in your face. Somehow, this totally worked even though the balance of flavours was wayyy off. Perhaps the big bully lemon playfully made the tart less jelat, and kept us reaching for more of that sour goodness ๐คค๐คค

We wanted a non-caffeinated drink and settled for their ๐๐๐๐๐จ๐๐ช๐จ ๐ฝ๐ก๐๐๐ ๐๐๐ง๐ง๐ฎ ๐๐๐ข๐ค๐ฃ๐๐๐ ($6.50) ๐ธ๐๐บ (allegedly their most popular lemonade). Evidently we were feeling very acidic that day HAHA. Though refreshing and palette-cleansing (with more lemon?) weโre not tooo sure if the โhibiscusโ and โblackberryโ part rlly came through. A nice drink nonetheless!

Leckerbaer is a simple yet luscious cafe ๐๐ that makes you feel like you just stepped into the right place to spend your slow weekday afternoon. Though a little pricey for the portion size, we particularly enjoyed our time here and the tart was really good! Do go down to experience the vibes for yourself hehe ๐ซถ๐ซถ
I tried & love their new Cherry Puff! ๐ Featuring choux pastry piped with vanilla pastry cream ๐ฉถ, cherry compote ๐ & spiced caramel heart ๐ค, finished with cherry meringue & berry curd, this was such a treat!

Their mini tarts did me a favour in allowing me to try a variety! ๐๐ป My favourite was their Lemon & Earl Grey Tart, a great play on flavours & textures โค๏ธ! Love the balance of tartness from lemon curd ๐ with the sweet meringue โ๏ธ & floral earl grey ๐ซ, well-paired with the crunchy tart base. The tangy Red Berry mini tart ๐ was right up my alley as well! ๐
Back here again...and this time I had the desserts in a jar - namely Lemon Cloud and Midnight Chocolate. Both contained airy mousse with soft meringue, passion fruit curd and hazelnut cake pieces. They came with separate toppings of crisp hazelnut tuiles, dulcey pearls and chocolate pieces. My favourite was the Lemon Cloud as it accentuated the sour-sweet profile of the dessert, which was an absolutely love and instinctively triggering happy tingles from the tangy-ness. ๐
Re-inventing Danish butter cookies, the smakager are pretty and dainty with delicate toppings/fillings. These macaron-sized creations are considerably pricey at $2.80 a piece. Available in varied flavours, we had the Tasting Set 1 ($34) which comprised of a choice of 1 small bake, 1 tart, 4 smakager and 2 drinks. I liked it that the cookies had different texture with its own distinct flavour from chocolate-y to sour-sweet to tarty. I would recommend the tasting set if you like a variety of small sweet treats and is a good choice for sharing with friends over coffee/tea and conversations in a cozy setting.
Highly raved and so, I decided to give it a try. Both the husband and I were pretty disappointed. The sweet treats did not impress, the price tag was hefty. Definitely not a place where we would revisit. We tried the Smakager
Cardomon (Banana & Caramel), Raspberry (Ruby & Jam( and Vanilla (Lemon Verbena & Merging). Sad to say, the tinned danish butter cookies/ Jennyโs cookies probably taste a lot better than the butter/vanilla-based cookies here. The Cadomom had hints of banana, but they tasted rather artificial. Iโm not sure if the spices and the banana actually go well together too.
The Raspberry wasnโt particularly wow. The puree tasted store-bought, rather than โfreshโ.
Lastly, the vanilla tasted nothing like vanilla, nor were there particularly strong hints of lemon. For the hefty price tag and hype around it, I do think the pastries fell way below expectations
