Only available during the weekend brunch menu (11am-4pm), this breakfast burger bun features a 130g chicken sausage patty, fried egg, rocket and miso bearnaise sauce sandwiched within two toasted demi brioche bun. Along with a side of tater tots, perhaps this might seem like an atas version of Macdonaldโ€™s McMuffin but imo, this was definitely much better (and bigger in portion too)! ๐Ÿ’– But of course, the pricetag that came along would be much higher too ๐Ÿ™ˆ.The chicken sausage patty was tender, juicy and flavourful, topped with miso bearnaise sauce which added a tangy, piquant note, resembling a hollandaise sauce, albeit less buttery and creamy, one thatโ€™s lighter to the palate. Swipe thrice to reveal an outburst of egg-citing surprise that awaits from the fragile sphere of yolk which elicits a vibrant response with a slight provoke, one thatโ€™s an egg-citement for the sight (and sense ofcโ˜บ๏ธ)! ๐Ÿ’– The brioche bun comes slightly toasted, while retaining a soft, pillowy interior along with a subtle lingering buttery fragrance. Tater tots are done to an. ideal crisp exterior, a good accompaniment to the burger and great substitute for fries anytime! โœŒ๐ŸปHomemade Chilli sauce and Ketchup are provided too for dipping, upon request! ๐Ÿ…๐ŸŒถ .

Chef Damian's version is a tad softer than what I am used. This was a clear fav with some of us who really enjoyed the freshly grated and salted coconut which was generously heaped on the kuih. I loved the fact that the coconuts were not exactly grated finely but had some chunkier bits which provided a good bite. I love communal dining. Besides being able to order lots and lots to try (and we are guilty of always trying to order the whole menu), there's something about breaking bread or in our case, Jiak Peng with friends, old and new.

Think of pairing whisky with food like youโ€™re adding sauce to a dish. I thought it was end of the story after I slurped my oyster and sipped my whisky, but no, I was then asked to pour some of the golden liquid into the empty shell. To my utmost surprise, the whisky tasted even lovelier with the salinity left behind in the shell.

Situated at Keong Siak road, this bakery serves an assortment of local cakes ๐Ÿฐ, pastry๐Ÿฅ, bread ๐Ÿžand kopi โ˜•๏ธwith a twist. Some of the flavors are pretty interesting and unique that you rarely see them around. Spoilt for choice between pink lady ( Guava lychee), Gula java sticky rice, Chrysanthemum cake, we finally decided on their signature Chendol Cake($6.50) with Atap chee, red bean and green jelly. Other interesting yet yummy bites we had included the milo lava croissant ( Crisp croissant with lava milo filling), Matcha Salted Egg bun ( Salted Egg taste- pretty strong game here). Overall, we enjoyed the ambience and bakes here. โค๏ธ๐Ÿ˜

Having moved from east to west over 1 year ago, Toby's retains their signature playful desserts and commitment to using quality ingredients.

The robust flavour of roasted coffee beans complements the floral sweetness of rich gula melaka sourced from Malacca.

Along with earthy red beans and fragrant pandan jelly, this enticing dessert beverage will appeal to most.

Thanks to @tobys_the_dessert_asylum for hosting, and @oo_foodielicious for the invite.

You don't get this at many restaurants so it was a real treat.
First, a large wooden board laden with different types of French cheese was carried to our table. Then a French member of the staff (who's the resident cheese expert) did an introduction of each one. After which we were asked to select the cheeses that caught our fancy and he proceeded to cut a piece from them. After carefully arranging the pieces on a plate, he advised us on the best sequence to eat them. This was to allow our tastebuds to fully appreciate the mildest cheese before we moved on to the strong ones. My favourite of the lot was the semi-hard Tete de Moine while my friend couldn't stop raving about the goat's cheese.

Newly launched and available at both Old Hen Kitchen and Old Hen Coffee Bar is this Cold Matcha Milk that comes in the same bottles as their popular Cold Brew coffee. Matcha lovers would love these โ€” rich green tea flavours in a creamy confront without any overwhelming sweetness or aftertastes. Definitely worth trying!

(PS: Last year's seasonal Cold Peppermint Chocolate is also back for the Christmas season; a chance for those who had not have tried it to grab one soon while it lasts!)

Saw Lennardy's Instagram post on these babies and I knew I immediately had to throw everything aside and just go for them because one can hardly find Canelรฉ (let alone good ones in Singapore). Le Canelรฉ d'Or originates from Hong Kong, and the Singapore outlet is directly owned by the original store in Hong Kong with the Canelรฉ baked in-house right here at their outpost at Concourse Skyline using the original recipes. Four flavours (Framboise - Raspberry & Raspberry Brandy, Irish - Coffee & Whiskey, Mediterranean - Orange Zest & Grand Marnier, Traditional - Vanilla & Rum) are available here in three different sizes (Cocktail, Medium and Grand). Tried all of them in medium size, which is pretty much equivalent to the usual size of a Canelรฉ (the Cocktail is sized similarly to the ones served as Petit Fours at Odette, the Grand would be similar to those at Tiong Bahru Bakery) and I love that they are crisp on the outside and moist, soft and chewy in the inside much like a denser Kueh Ambon. The Traditional would be a very safe choice that's well-executed, but get the Framboise if you are in for something bolder with a tart, fruity flavour that is slightly more intense as compared to the other three. The Mediterranean was also interesting being rather citrusy as well, though all of the flavours are generally weak on the alcohol (the rum in the Traditional being the strongest). Still, it's great to see places specializing in Canelรฉ opening in Singapore โ€” definitely a place I would return to for my Canelรฉ cravings; pretty affordable if you are getting some gifts for your loved ones too considering the medium only cost $3.50 per piece!
