Wanted to try their pork ribs, but they didn't have it that day 😢 We had the Laksa Lobster Linguine ($27 1 for 1 with #burpplebeyond) and we loved the rich coconut flavours and how al dente the Linguine was. The Lobster itself was fresh and succulent. The Nyonya Herb Crusted Snapper ($25 1 for 1 with #burpplebeyond) was fresh and meaty, and the sambal given is really good! However, we both agreed that the portion size is really small. Really too expensive to pay the original price!

Shared 5 dishes between a group of 5 friends (used 2 Burpple 1 for 1 deals). Do note that there's a separate 1 for 1 menu, and that the portions are pretty big and meant for sharing! Had the:
- Ground Pot Chicken - very flavourful, liked the different textures of the ingredients, the bread(?) was also great when scooping up the sauce, but do note there's significant bones
- Hot Plate Tiger Prawns in Garlic Oil - THIS WAS AMAZING ESP THE GARLIC SAUCE PLEASE ORDER IT
- Shredded Cabbage with Pork & King Oyster Mushroom - these 2 doshe were my free dishes, overall nothing too special and both were essentially cooked the same way
- Deep Fried Chicken with Chillies (additional order on top of the Burpple orders above) - this was good! nice crunch of the chicken with a strong aroma of spices, and the accompanying chillies, green onions and ginger elevated it further.

Had a hearty meal here, overall spending as $94 for 5 of us (had 5 pax Tea, a coke, and 3 bowls of rice as well).

This Earl grey gin was fantastic! Using their signature Singapore Dry Gin, infused with Earl grey tea - fragrant, incredibly refreshing and so easy to drink. A pity they don’t sell it bottled, would’ve love to bring one home if they did.

Enjoyed this breakfast! Eggs were perfect with the hollandaise sauce, smoked salmon and fluffy brioche. Wouldn't mind if there were even more sauce though. Really worth with burrple beyond!

Being tucked away on the second level of a shophouse, Nirvana Dessert Cafe is a spot that one could easily miss considering how it’s not quite visible on the first level — the entrance being just a flight of steps behind a door that is situated in between Machi Machi and Milk Singapore along Arab Street.

Being a concept behind the same folks of now-defunct Q&Y Kong Style Dessert Cafe previously at The Midtown in Hougang, Nirvana Dessert Cafe is pretty much a spiritual successor to Q&Y Kong Style Dessert Cafe, serving their signature soufflé pancakes as well as waffles, amongst some other dessert items that are prepared in their tiny kitchen in the shophouse. Their soufflé pancakes are one of the more affordable ones around — priced at $9, their soufflé pancakes are pretty affordable and comes at a decent quality for its price; sufficiently moist, the soufflé pancakes were fluffy and airy with a slight hint of eggy sweetness that was pretty fragrant. Coupled with the dollop of pastry cream on the side, the pastry cream helps to add yet another dimension of sweetness to the pancakes. Patrons can opt between chocolate, maple syrup and salted caramel sauce for their soufflé pancakes; our order came with the salted caramel sauce which we did not end up using though — the sauce being a tad heavy and felt rather off against the texture and flavours of the soufflé pancake, and easily became the dominating flavour of the dessert.

Given how Kampong Glam is filled with cafes that caters to different crowds, Nirvana Dessert Cafe is a spot that carries a different appeal — the hidden nature of the cafe being situated at the second level of the shophouse somewhat makes it a secret hangout of sorts only for those in the know. Prices are also pretty affordable, while the quality of the desserts here do resonate the prices pretty well — yet another option for dessert while in the area.

Mention Goldhill Plaza and you might not immediately think of good food, but this restobar might just change your mind! With the mantra of "Eat Like A Boss", you'll find generous servings of western dishes ranging from the Classic Beef Burger ($11.90), Salmon Teriyaki Burger ($10.90) and Crispy Chicken Burger ($9.90), which is served with their homemade signature "Special Sauce". Hmm, we wonder what that is?

Ordered their Sirloin Steak - medium done ($24++) & Pork Chops ($24++) with the Burpple 1-for-1 deal. At this price point, together with the Burpple deal, I must say that this is the most value-for-money steak I have ever tried.

Both meats were super tender, well-seasoned, and cooked perfectly! Apart from the meats, the fries were great too!

Will definitely return again for more :)

Decided to head back to this establishment after being wowed by their garlic snowing pizza previously.

Unfortunately, the crab meat garlic pasta failed to deliver the wow factor. It is by no means a bad dish, but the flavour profile of this dish is nothing to shout about. Nevertheless, the dish was still worth it with the burpple one for one offer.

The mezza platter comes with an Arabic salad, and a freshly made flatbread for dipping into the hummus (chickpeas, tahini), babaganoush (charcoal grilled eggplant with peppers, pomegranate sauce), labneh (Lebanese hung yogurt) and moussaka (cubed eggplant, chickpeas, tomato, green pepper and others). The flatbread was so-so. Liked the moussaka best! The cubed eggplants/tomatoes etc was pretty flavourful and tender. I haven’t had labneh before, but I found the stringy texture interesting. My friend liked the babaganoush a lot, and kept dipping her flatbread into it :) Hummus was pretty decent too!

The chicken kofta is marinated minced chicken that is charcoal grilled. It was juicy, and we all liked it. The rice served with it is nice and fluffy, and I didn’t find it dry even though there was no sauce.

Overall, I liked that the food was not too heavy on the palette, but still tasty. Portions are large, 3 of us shared these 2 dishes. Service is great too! They were very friendly :) Would make a return visit - they’re on both Beyond and Eatigo, so it’s even more affordable after 50% off.

HAYO is the newest addition in town, located at Middle Road, next to Captain K and walking distance from Bugis Junction.

What’s special about the brand is they use 100% Australian premium cow milk specially imported, and included with various fresh ingredients.

The yogurt kiosk is offering 1-for-1 currently for takeaways till 30 April.
Delivery is also available at https://www.captaink.sg/online-ordering.
Well, understandably the price is higher for deliveries, and 1-for-1s don’t apply on the delivery platform and you probably need to add on other food items to meet the minimum of $60.

V worth it açai and friendly staff! Nice to chill here as it’s a nice environment despite its inside a IT store :”)

Have been wanting to try this seeing all the good reviews. Come early at around 6pm if you want to try because you will have to wait (long queues) starting at about 6.10pm on a Friday night. The soup was not too saltish and the fried fish portion was great and there was a drink included (a few choices to choose from the fridge after paying). Using the burpple beyond deal was worth it (previously it was for a dinner set). Would come back again for sure to try other bowls.
