I started attacking this huge pot after having a sip of the soup, and I absolutely loved it.

The soup was sweet due to the use of superior chicken stock stewed for over 4 hours, or possibly because there's also a whole Soon Hock in it, together with white cabbages, enoki mushrooms, corn, tomatoes, large prawns, clams and squids. You know there's no msg, because the soup tasted so clean and I was going for bowls and bowls of it without feeling thirsty afterwards.

A new signature dish, bridging the taste buds of both seniors and millenials.

Rich in taste yet not overpowering on the palate, the large and meaty sweet crab is laid atop bee hoon / rice vermicelli noodles, which is bathed in a secret recipe home made stock.
.
Cheese adds a thick, gooey texture, and the bold flavours of sweet savoury salty are well-controlled, such that it doesn't overwhelm.

The bed is a fried chicken cutlet, whose natural savoury sweet flavours complement the deeper flavours of the rojak sauce.

Recently had a very good dinner here. The team of chefs bring years of culinary experience, serving delicious comfort food and innovative creations, in a tranquil setting.
.
This has sauce glazed baby squid, served in a light flour basket, which breaks off in pieces like noodles.
.
The squid itself is slightly crisp, slightly chewy, with a robust savoury salty flavour that helps open the appetite.

Cheesy Crab Bee Hoon with Crab Roe ($44.80++) another signature dish at @longjiangchinos Rich cheesy broth yet not overpowering. Two whole Indian mud crabs with generous crab roe! Shiok!

Fresh Indonesian crabs are used and meat chunks separate from the shell easily! I couldn't stop slurping up these specially made bee hoon!

Had dinner at Long Jiang Chinos at Yishun last night (where the Bottle Tree Park used to be at), and I really loved the food. If I had to choose my top two favourite dish, it would be the seafood hotpot and this cheese crab bee hoon.

The cheese crab beehoon sounds like a fusion dish, but it's actually not as quirky as you might think. This is because the cheese is very subtle, though it added richness in flavour and consistency to the naturally sweet stock. I also liked that there's also a hint of spiciness to this dish to cut through the gravy's richness.

The crabmeat also fell readily off the shells, and beehoon were al dente. Really very enjoyable.

Seafood Hotpot which comes with fresh soon hock, live prawns, clams and squid in a sweet and tasty superior broth. This was really outstanding because the simmering pot of stock that was flavourful with a subtle hint of seafood goodness.

中秋節快樂!
Mid-autumn festival, a day to gather, eat mooncakes & play with lanterns/candles/sparkles. Can't recall when was the last time the three of us (silblings) took a walk with lanterns (and a dog) in hand. Although it wasn't as fun as when we were kids, I guess it's the company that counts.
Yam Paste Mooncake from Long Jiang (龍江), where the original yam paste mooncake was created in 1988.

Rich & creamy yam paste with salted egg yolk encased in flaky puffy pastry. Love.

Interesting having minced meat stuffed inside the bean curd and topped with white fungus.

The slice of pork is quite tender. No need to use much effort to chew.

The crabs are huge in size. Great service in providing the lemon tea for washing hands, one for every 2 persons.

So this fish soup in the 60s, filled with lots of vegetables such as tomato. The soup is very flavourful and rich in taste, although we are all surprised that it so yellow in color. The restaurant is located in the newly opened ORTO, formerly known as Bottle Tree. It looks great dining by the fishing pools but it's quite warm and humid.

This dish uses 2 female mud crabs, similar to the Indonesian version of mud crabs. The broth is a fusion between a robust stock with creaminess from the cheese.

The bee hoon did well to soaks up the full flavour of this dish while maintaining its texture. The crabs are sweet and love the roe in the crab shell.

Crisp and flaky skin, followed with smooth yam paste with a touch of sweetness. The yolk in each mooncake is just so inviting.
