Went to Maxi Coffee Bar and ordered an Iced Cereal Milk Latte ($7.50) and a Black Cold Brew ($5.80)!😇 Overall ratings 8/10! Really liked the Cereal Latte but the Cold Brew has quite a sour note🥹 Would head back again for the Cereal Latte😁

Maxi Oat 4/5

Perfect breakfast coffee, with the sweet scent of cereals and milk paired with espresso. A great way to start the day!

Slightly pricey but the novelty of the drink makes it worth a try at least. Not many places offer this option! Would recommend if you like your lattes slightly sweet and want to try something a little different.

The shop is quite small with a limited seating area but it makes the whole ambience quite cozy with the feeling of everyone huddled up together.

Staff were very chirpy and friendly - creating a warm atmosphere and a pleasant experience overall.

New cold brew white to add to my collections!

The coffee was well balanced, the oat milk went well with the coffee, could be stronger, but despite it being made with oat milk, it was under relatively creamy 🤩

Double shot of espresso and opted to replace the regular milk with oat milk. The perfect drink when you desperately need a caffeine fix.

Cold brew with seven spiced chai and oat milk. A nice cold drink perfect for the hot afternoon.

Coffee by the bay window for a lazy Sunday ☺️ this hole in the wall vibe is the perfect spot to kick start your Sunday while you laze in bed then have a coffee to perk you up.

The White is $5.50 & + $1 for the oat milk. They use oatly, which is usually the barista's choice for most oat milks.

The white was fragrant with hints of floral notes while the black had a liquorice taste followed by a sweet floral finish.

The caramelised onion made the muffin really tasty! Iced latte was a tad bit acidic but the cereal latte was good!

While they don’t serve any proper meal here, their bacon grilled cheese is a perfect to order if you just looking for something to fill up your tummy.

Comes in 2 piece of cheese melt, stuffed with bourbon bacon jam on sourdough. The sourdough was crispy but wasn’t too hard to bite. The cheese melt perfectly with the bacon jam as well. $13

A small coffee bar located along Ann Siang Hill, with limited seats available indoor and outdoor.

Was here on weekday afternoon and glad to find an indoor seat and enjoy their drink and food.

The “Dirty” is for those who prefer non-coffee drink, using seven spice chai with oat milk. A light bitter and spice taste, but wasn’t too diluted even for iced drink. $7.50

One of the better coffee I have tried. The muffin and grill cheese are delectable as well.

.. and the kaya couldn’t get any fresher.
Buns were soft and crispy on the outside 😍

I have an immense weakness for canelés. Dark, thick, caramelised crusts, hiding pale, soft and tender centres, these dainty cylindrical pastries are, to me, the perfect lil afternoon nibble. So knowing that Le Matin’s ones are available at Maxi Coffeehar, I wasn’t about to give up scoring myself one. The custardy centre this canelé definitely nailed: just the right level of sweetness, and beautifully perfumed with vanilla with visible specks from vanilla beans 🥰 Unfortunately I did find the shell a little of a letdown. It was a tad too tough and limp, lacking that stiff crunch I was expecting, and tasted a wee too burnt — not in the nice caramel-y sorta way, but overly bitter for my taste. Still that could be a result of heating it up for dine-ins; I’m pretty sure a freshly baked one would taste tons better.

Located at hype shophouses stretch in Ann Siang Hill, this small humble cafe is perfect for a quick sip of your caffeine dose to fuel your energy for the day. No prominent sign at the door. You just knew it’s a cafe when you see there’s a coffee machine inside. They served oat milk as an alternate to fresh milk. Good for people with lactose intolerant like me. Outdoor seating are definitely better than indoor as you can observe the surroundings of Ann Siang Hill street.

Flat white with oat milk $7

The former needs no introduction I believe — I’ve written about it several times — but their take on the dirty chai has been one of my favourites for a long time coming. Fragrant but not overwhelming spices, well-balanced with a solid shot of espresso, and just enough frothed milk to smoothen it all out 👌🏻🥰

Besides their range of coffee, there’s a pastry that’s being sold by the counter which you should keep an eye out for when you are there. This particular pastry, the Kouign Amann, is baked by Chef Matin, better known as the guy behind Le Matin Patisserie, who happens to have previous stints in Restaurant Andre, Black Star Pastry and was last at the award winning, best restaurant in the world, Noma as the pastry sous chef. There’s nothing in this world that can beat the combination of dough, butter and sugar; the main ingredients in baking a Kouign Amann.

Cozy new space in lovely shade of blue, @maxi.coffeebar is back in CBD. Offering specialty coffee including hits like Cereal Milk Latte ($7.50) and The ‘Dirty’ ($7.50), there’s food options available.

We were pleasantly surprise to find @lematin.sg Kouign Amanns ($7) amidst the other bakes and instantly snagged one. If you haven tried them, here’s one place you can check out their flaky pastry
