What I like about this place is the decently reliable quality across visits, and the ease of customisation when ordering.
This chain has been operating for well over 10 years, but their main outlet still draws a near constant queue during peak periods.
The mee pok / wide flat egg noodles have a slight al-dente chew, picking up the slick yet punchy gravy, strong with sour savoury flavour, and just a tad of spicy on the back.
The pork meat balls are juicy with a satisfying chew, the minced pork is fresh with meaty savoury sweet flavour, and the lettuce is fresh and crisp.
The tender braised mushrooms have a juicy earthy salty savoury note. Enhanced with prawns which lend a premium feel.

This was a really decent food option along the Upper Thomson MRT area and we really loved their noodles! Today, we got the mini hotpot noodles with mee kia and the noodles were cooked to our liking once again - they were very QQ and they were not overly soggy as well! Furthermore, the stall was pretty generous with the chilli and vinegar so it was a pretty wonderful bowl of noodles for breakfast!

The mini hotpot comes with quite a lot of ingredients, with fishballs, fishcakes, sliced pork, minced pork, pig liver and mushrooms amongst others! The soup was fairly normal, however, although the generous ingredients and the wonderful noodles makes the dish quite a steal for $6.50!

The stall seems to be a lot less crowded during COVID times and we didn't face difficulties getting a seat this time! Do go and visit, especially since the stall is now much more accessible with the opening of the Upper Thomson MRT station!

I love this bak chor mee. Every strand of mee pok is slick with vinegar (I chose vinegar, no chilli), yet it’s not too oily. There’s just the right amount of ingredients and noodles, and the soup is brimming with pork bits that make it light and tasty.

Quality comfort food. There’s a good amount of bouncy fishballs, smooth fish cake, and a single her piao. I like it that they use the slimmer type of kway teow. The soup is light yet tasty. You can see the tiny pork remnants that they used to boil the soup, and it doesn’t leave you thirsty.

Ordered the small bowl ($4.80) and I’m surprised it’s packed full of minced meat and other ingredients. The sauce has a good balance of spice and vinegar. The noodles are super satisfying and this is one of my favourite BCM in Singapore 😋

One of my favourite supper spot as they serve delicious local noodles and close at 4.30am daily. The fuzhou fishball is basically fishball filled with meat and theirs burst inside the mouth upon biting in.
