More Reviews of good food at Nakhon Kitchen (Bedok 136)

Always wanted to try but always full at the Holland village branch. So glad they have one in Bedok. Everything we ordered was amazing !

Ordered tanghoon, pineapple fried rice, kangkong, broccoli, tom yum goong, thai fish cake. Not bad!

Nakhon never fails! Even after becoming popular it still remains delicious and affordable no wonder there’s always still snaking queues! Order the pad Thai, kang Kong and basil chicken for sure 😋

After trying out Nakhon at Kovan’s branch numerous times, I often left feeling alittle disappointed as their dishes were dropping in standards. Came to Bedok branch and was pleasantly surprised!

Ordered the Olive Fried Rice, Thick Tom Yum and Pandan Chicken. Rice was extremely fragrant, tomyum was savory with the right amount of heat and pandan chicken was a nice salty side. Do add their chili sauce provided at the side!

Shared this amongst two and portion was just right.

Nakhon is easily one of the most recognisable Thai restaurants in Singapore. They sell unpretentious Thai food that is cheap and good.
Their Thai green milk tea [$3] is extremely fragrant and pleasant to drink. If you wish to have a milk tea there, do choose this over the red milk tea [$3] which is more common and can be found in many places elsewhere. Starting off, the Pad Thai [$10] was very nice, with the noodles having a good chew while maintaining flavour in every single bite. The many prawns in it were also well cooked like that of a zichar place. Following, Fish Maw Soup [$10] was thick and flavoursome, almost as if it’s Shark Fin Soup. But a much more ethical bowl for the sharks and for your wallet. It’s definitely worth a try.

Their Lemon Fried Chicken [$10] may need some more work though. It was a little bit drier than the last time when I ate at the Hougang Nakhon branch. But this is to be expected as different Nakhon branches tweak the recipes accordingly to suit the neighbourhood’s taste.
Digressing, perhaps if you’re not into spicy food, you could be more interested in visiting the Holland V branch as their food taste more mild. Perhaps it’s because there’s more foreigners there so as to suit their tastes?

Nevertheless, Nakhon never fails to disappoint. If one wants a good Thai fix, this is the place to go. Do note that they only take cash so do be careful to have enough cash on hand before going there.

Tldr: Nakhon good. Green > Red milk tea. Fish Maw is great. Lemon crispy chicken ok only. Bill is not harsh on wallet, and no GST. Cash only. -Foodier✌🏻

Just the right amount of heat, firm noodles, juicy prawns and squids, affordable... What else can I say? Definitely worth a trip down!

Located at Blk 136, Bedok North Ave 3, #01-162 Singapore 460136. We always patronised the one at Bedok North as their food are consistently well cooked on all our visits here even though there’s a long waiting Q out there! Seafood Pancake, $10! Been craving for Thai Seafood Pancake and these surely fix my craves. Crispy, golden brown fried, flavourful, juicy and there’s even chunks of prawn in it!! Despite all the above, surprisingly they weren’t too oily. It’s tooo MOUTH-WATERING!! 💯🤤 @nakhonkitchen #hungryunicornsg #nakhonkitchen #nakhonkitchensg #nakhonbedok #bestthaifood #seafoodpancake

The spicy drunken noodles is stir-fried with squid and assorted vegetables. The rice noodles have absorbed all the sauces and flavours well. However, it may be too spicy for non heat foodies. 🌶🌶

Located at many locations. Tom Yam Seafood Soup (Clear), $6! This dish requires no introduction, one of the place where u can get authentic, fragrant Thai Tom Yam Soup! The seafood ingredients are fresh and soup is not too spicy for our liking! @nakhonkitchen #hungryunicornsg #nakhonkitchen #nakhonkitchensg #nakhonbedok #bestthaifood #tomyamsoup #tomyamseafoodsoup

Located at many locations. Homemade Thai Prawn Cake (4pcs), $12! This has to be our favourite appetiser at Nakhon! These savoury Prawn Cake are deep-fried till golden crispy😍! Really good and value for money as they are generous with their ingredients.. there’s really bits of prawns in there when you bites on it, not just prawn paste! You may eat it alone for a good crunch and flavor or dip into this sweet chilli sauce for a better taste! We really enjoys this and its our MUST order dish every time we are back here! @nakhonkitchen #hungryunicornsg #nakhonkitchen #nakhonkitchensg #nakhonbedok #bestthaifood #thaiprawncake

Whack as many dish as you can while chomping on chili padi during a hot ass afternoon.

I love spicy and flavourful food, which is why the Thai cuisine is one of my favourites. Nakhon has always been my go to place for really good Thai food that is also good for the wallet! Haha. Terrific use of spices, well balanced flavours, fresh ingredients that will leave you coming back for more. It's hard to pick a favourite dish! But I always make sure I don't leave without ordering their Pandan Leaf Chicken!

I personally felt the portion given at the bedok outlet is more compared to the one at holland v, taste wise.. more or less the same.

This was my first time trying Nakhon Kitchen, and while food here is reasonably priced, hits and misses. LOVED the Tom Kha seafood soup ($6), which is a version of tomyum but with coconut milk, so it was really fragrant and delish as the coconut milk made it slightly creamier, sweeter and less spicy. The stir-fried kailan ($6) wasn't exactly Thai but I liked the taste and crunchiness. Pineapple fried rice ($6) was alright (was hoping it came in the pineapple itself but fat hope) Honey chicken ($6) was ok but a tad dry. Oatmeal prawns was the most expensive dish on the table at $12 (I could have gotten 2 additional dish!!!), and the least satisfying. What a disappointment, cereal wasn't crispy nor fragrant and in fact, bland, prawn wasn't the fresh crunchy kind.

Happened to pass by Nakhon Kitchen at Bedok North and realized there is no queue on Friday 6pm! Quickly sit down and enjoy the dinner 😁 Ordered the mango salad ($5) which I found it is quite tasty, the fried squid rings in sweet sour spicy Thai sauce and the superb tom kha soup (with coconut milk)! And the total cost is only $26 for two pax.

Seeing as this restaurant is becoming increasingly popular over the years, I decided to head to Nakhon Kitchen to satisfy my current Thai cravings. My boyfriend got the pineapple fried rice ($8) and I got the chicken green curry with rice ($9), which was recommended over the Tom Yum soup by one of the staff. Once we placed our orders, the food came within minutes, which probably meant that it wasn't prepared that freshly but upon tasting the dish the quality was certainly not compromised. The pineapple fried rice was slightly salty but still extremely tasty. My green curry has just the right mix of spice and sweetness, well infused with the taste of basil leaf, and the soup was not that thick - definitely a pleasure to my taste buds. There was a generous helping of chicken in the green curry, in which they provided in small pieces so that as much flavour can be absorbed into the chicken. In terms of value for money, Nakhon Kitchen is recommended as the prices are NETT and free water is provided. This is definitely my go-to place for nice and affordable Thai food.
