Sit back and enjoy while them helpful workers help to grill strips of sliced pork belly and pork shoulder over hot charcoal that should not be missed out ! Shoulder part would be leaner so do expect lower fat percentage and tougher texture whereas the belly part was hella juicy, a good combination to have together 👌 •

Well marinated spicy-paste baby grilled octopus that wasn’t rubbery but a good kind of crunchy chew to it. Fret not, it doesn’t fall anyway near the spicy category and comes in fun bite size which makes it very much enjoyable. Garlic lovers, don’t shy away from it. The grilled garlic chips adds an extra flavor to the octopus •

Let’s not forget about the eye pleasing marbling on the boneless beef ribs (sorry no pic 😅) and then grilled to perfection as each bite of the ribs would melt in your mouth unlike most grilled beef that turns out overly hard/unpleasant to chew ! It’s boneless and comes with king oyster mushroom •

An underrated side dish here is the bombastic (piping hot) soufflé steamed egg ! It lives up to expectation of it being jiggly, soft, fluffy and so tasty with chopped veges for the extra crunch •

All banchan will be served upon sitting with a platter of bean paste dip, sesame oil with salt dip, chilies and fresh garlic but feel free to top up as you please ;) just don’t waste food ! #highlyRAEted •

Set 3: Sliced Pork Belly // Pork Shoulder // Grilled Baby Octopus RM59 • Galbisal (boneless beef ribs) RM80 • Steamed Egg RM15 •

Thank you friend @bryanoyos for introducing this to me, RM80 for this set of WHOLE chicken with refillable mushrooms and vegetables, that comes with house-made kimchi, rice balls/porridge, noodles and ice cream. (They even pay you RM2 for your parking in Starling, have you ever seen that??) A really hearty meal with a broth so fragrant I probably stunk of garlic 🙂 I enjoyed it so much for its thoughtful service and wholesome meal 🥰

RM260++ | Ordered the set menu for 3-4 pax which includes kimchi ramyeon, steamed egg, samgyeopsal, beef, squid and kimchi pancake. Meat doesn’t feel too greasy which is a huge plus! Kimchi pancake was really good - make sure to dip the sauce. Had naengmyeon at the end of our dinner to ease away the greasiness of the meat.

The side dishes and lettuce are free flow so do feel free to ask the staffs for refill. As for the meat, you can choose whether to grill it at your table or outside - where they grilled it for you and bring it to your table.

Bill comes out to be only RM260++ with all the dishes and 2 bottles of soju! Super good and affordable KBBQ place in Kuala Lumpur.

The banchan are not refillable for value sets though 😢. Pretty well-cooked instant noodles with an al dente texture and the seaweed pieces were a nice touch. The topokki was alright and the banchan were okay. This isn't very filling though so I would recommend their rice dishes as they come with a steamed egg or their bibimbap set. Service was good and friendly as always.

This turned out to be very soy-like, and was actually one of the better choices for chicken at NeNe. The Korean-based brand is of course, a fast food chain that only happens to be really popular in Singapore and KL (in Korea itself, not really) so come with the right expectations and you’ll leave a happy fried chicken-filled diner.

The market for Korean fried chicken in the Klang Valley seems to have set prices on the higher end, despite being merely chicken wings. The 6 pcs set that came with a bowl of wedges and raw cabbage clocked in at MYR19.90 whereas the 4 chicken fingers with fries came at MYR13. The chicken wings here were dry and flavors weren’t bold either. Chicken fingers were akin to chewing battered cardboard. Would I return? Absolutely not.

Sweet, soft and chewy is the best way to desribe this dish! I was super surprised thag it came with a side of dipping cheese as its not mentioned in the menu. Along with some kimchi and rice/ramen this is the perfect kbbq lunch . Recommended for one person but i think it fills you up even when shared .

This Korean restaurant in the Starling sells a variety of common Korean meals that are sure to satisfy your K-cravings. I picked their Kimchi Jigae(beef) and I was honestly impressed. You know why? There were so many ingredients in the stew and they were so generous! The stew is literally scattered with huge beef chunks everywhere and there is lots of kimchi and tofu. They don't skimp on the glass noodles and other veggies either. They also put some chewy dried mushrooms on top to give it bite. The rice was good and had that lovely sticky texture Korean rice is famous for. The banchan(side dishes) was relatively unimpressive but the restaurant makes up for that by providing FREE REFILLS! The Korean tea is separate from the meal but it was quite cheap. This beef Kimchi Jigae is RM19.50 and that's pretty much the average price for most of their dishes but they provide nice rice, noodle and family sets so do check this place out at @thestarlingmall .

A long overdue catch-up with these girls. Our first time at this place and they serves some really good lamb BBQ. Although slightly more expensive but they kept stuffing us with freebies until we ask them to take it baaackk 😅😅 .

Nice cozy spot to chill with family and friends. They serve a range of delectable Korean bingsu, from traditional injeolmi bingsu to durian mango bingsu.
In picture: Black Sesame Bingsu w/ almond flakes and red bean (RM15.90). The texture of the shave ice is surprisingly flaky and soft, and has the right level of sweetness.
Apart from bingsu, they offer 100% natural ice cream and sorbet too. Though pricey for shaved ice, I would be back to try the other flavours.
