Gelatinous and melt in your mouth, the lamb was done impeccably and I enjoyed it very much. The gravy was pretty thick and not very spicy at all. Instead there's one spice that comes through strongly, I rmb it's cardamom but I may be wrong. The precious bits of bone marrow were good too and make sure you extract every bit of it to go along w the roti
It's served with khamiri roti and it's the first time I'm having it. Being fermented, there's a very slight sour taste but it almost is to naan what sourdough is to bread. Being thicker, denser, and just almost crustier, it's good and it serves its purpose well as a vassal for the gravy. I prefer naan though for more crisp and fluffier texture.
Overall pretty good, they've been here for years and for good reason as we can see
Many commented their tea is good, but can’t seem find any comment on their food.
Ordered the Chicken Hyderabadi ($10.9) and chapati ($1.5 each). Pleasantly surprised by this dish! Spicy and flavourful.
We happened to pass this legendary teh tarik and finally tried it. Apart from the enormous pack, it's quite ordinary. To be fair, usually a hot teh tarik brings out the nuances better.
A very old school coffee shop here at Kampong Glam that offer one of the best teh tarik. Milky but not so sweet.
Nice frothy cup of Teh Tarik Ais that wasn’t too sweet!
Little do we know that this is actually the Kampong Glam’s famous tea shop that many (and I mean many) locals and tourists would join the queue just to get a cup of this thirst quencher. The slight bitterness from the black tea complements so well with the sweetness from the condensed milk, while the pulling action cools the tea and creates a frothy top.

Having it this way totally removes that slimy texture that makes it less loved.. what you get here’s a yummy snack!

Neither have I, until I tried this scrumptious quail briyani at The Flying Monkey. Not forgetting their cocktails infused with traditional Indian ingredients, you're bound for a good evening. @foodievstheworld @aaronazhari @flyingmonkeysg .

The previous times I had this, it was usually more frothy. This however, wasn't even "pulled" and didn't have much body. While I did request for it to be less sweet, somehow it wasn't very milky either, which is probably why it felt very thin. Hope I just caught them on a bad day.
