the pumpkin soup served warm š is rich and creamy with a nice touch of olive oil and cream. For mains, I got their burrata linguine pasta becos BURRATA - for this price itās a stealš ! Lastly a slice of traditional cherry tart šfor dessert š they even have a 14.90+ option availableš
Authentic italian food at Bruno's, much raved by a friend. We were lucky to catch their weekday daily set lunch going at $13.90
Arrabiata with fish + Pizza Magherita along with soup or salad! Must say they executed the Arrabiata better than all other Arrabiata I've tried. Its tomato base is just right and not overpowering, and its mixed well with hints of garlic bits, onions and capsicum. Topped with generous crisp white fish, it's a good deal.
The pizza Magherita is also decent and it's set on a thicker base holding all the cheese and basil together.
I will be back again to indulge in their top recos such as squid ink pasta š¦
I wouldnāt have known about the awesome promotion at Trattoria LāOperetta if not for my niece craving pizza recently. When I popped by the restaurant on Tanjong Katong Road, the staff happen to share with me the information below...

This is NOT a sponsored or hosted post. Iām just sharing because I have always liked the food at this Italian restaurant and use to visit them very often. Plus my niece and MIL (yes, she couldnāt resist it either) loved the Parigina Pizza ($24) Iād bought for them. The Neapolitan-style crust was topped with mozzarella, ham, mushrooms, basil, Parmesan and instead of the usual tomato sauce, it had a cream one. To say I was surprised at how swiftly the two of them gobbled the entire pizza is an understatement!
A simple pizza that will showcase the quality of the ingredients in the pizza.
.
The dough is crispy and chewy while the toppings are juicy and creamy from the tomato sauce and mozzarella cheese. The basil added a touch of herb and mintiness in this dish.
.
Good pizza, good portion and value for money. .

So Brunoās pizzeria and grill opened a branch at Farrer Park, taking over the space of an old French restaurant. Sadly there isnāt much business due to its awkward location - not particularly close to the mrt and without ample parking lots. To add on, the price isnāt particularly cheap as well. However, due to the lack of customers, you get the opportunity to ābookā down the whole restaurant!šwhereby the Chef and server is all for youš the servings are much more generous than usual as well. overall, itās a delightful western feastšāØhowever I wonāt particularly say that itās outstanding. For the price, this quality is to be expected. š¤·āāļø hence, if you are looking for a quiet date or family gathering spot. I will recommend this outlet. (If you feel like it do support them, if not I think they gonna close down soon lols - I canāt even find itās location tag sads)š

This seafood pizza was piping hot when it arrived at the table. The aroma of the pizza whipped our appetites before we tasted our first bite. I loved that the pizza did not taste pre-made like it would be at a regular fast food joint. The ingredients tasted fresh and the ratio of crust to the ingredients was good. Despite its higher price tag, it was worth it.
Awesome pasta, one of the best Iāve have had. The marina tomato sauce had a seafood taste infused in it. The scallops were decently big and juicy. Not too chewy. I enjoyed the pasta very much and would recommend it to friends.
Mozzarella of Bufala, Parma Ham, Cherry Tomato, Rocket, Parmesan
This is what I got on a night when the pizza chef was feeling generous!
Love the friendly service here and they even let kids press out pizza dough
