It’s my first time trying Mont Blanc but I rlly liked it!! The chestnut cream was not overly sweet and it was light, going well with the cassis base. The base tart itself was filled with sweet chunky berry jam. The lighter chestnut cream paired with the heavy flavoured jam gave the dessert a good balance. And even though it was quite light, I found myself very satisfied.

The almond flakes on top were sweet and crunchy, pairing well with the light fluffy sponge cake. The middle layers of cream and apricot jam added just a slight citrus taste to it, appropriate enough to not be overly sour and it doesn’t dominate the primary flavour of the sponge cake that has hints of Amaretto. It is good but I will say that it is rather ordinary.

I wanna yell this out loud but I can’t, so please just layan me here lol. I bit into Pantler’s cream puff with a good dose of skepticism, not because I don’t like their pastries and bakes (en contraire I think they’re fab), but cause I’ve been so enamoured with Baristart’s I can’t imagine anything else even coming close. I’m very pleased to say I was proved wrong. Just cutting it apart, the generous amount of smooth, glistening and thick pastry cream was quite the sight to behold. Unlike Baristart’s, Pantler’s pastry cream is a lot firmer and holds its shape better (read: no ooze ooze, but still good good). Texture wise that means a slightly heavier cream, and flavour wise that means it’s a lot richer. I loved it. Especially when you get those little crunchy, nutty bits of nougatine hidden in the luscious cream 🤤 While I do like myself the light and airy sorta cream puffs, I love how assertive and intense the flavours were here and I dare say it’s now a good contender for the first place in my heart 🥰

Rly enjoyed the orange center of the hojicha cake which added a slight tartness to complement the sweetness of the hojicha glacé and chocolate cream!

The mille-feuille compromised pastry layers that were rly light and broke apart so easily at the light touch of the fork. The choux cream had a faint vanilla fragrance and a slight milky aftertaste!

Prices are a tad steep but the ambience is rly nice for an afternoon tea :-)

Forgot to take down the name of this but it was really good! Pear was crisp and juicy. The custard was very fresh and creamy. Would love to have had more! A bit pricey though

damn no regrets, the mille fueille pastry was buttery and flakey w a sweet glaze complementing the distinctly vanilla specked pastry cream!!! the cheesecake was delightful too, with a spiced buttery biscuit base!! the cheesecake itself was rich, smooth and creamy without being too jelak :”) wld defo be back for more of their offerings
