A REMINDER, don't forget that hotpot soup is chargeable.

And it's the restaurant's right to restrict, but they stick to the rule of 2 person being able to claim one burpple deal (so instead of choosing seafood platter and meatball platter, we only went for the seafood platter)

The seafood platter:
2 scallops 5 lala 3 mussels 3 prawns
No issue with freshness, knowing prawns, I'm 100% sure they're fresh, and having eaten the others, I think they are too.

Soup base (herbal half, laksa half) 15++
Seafood platter (2 for the price of 1, burpple deal) 30++

It seems almost insane that it's priced like that, call me a country bumpkin but is seafood so damn expensive that it's 30++

The hotpot soups is decent. The laksa meets my expectations, not unnecessarily coconut heavy nor was the flavour held back. The herbal soup was lighter and a good contrast, it does its best to look legit with the various herbs and roots, but starts becoming bitter at the end of the meal (nothing wrong with that in my opinion).
I am not sure if the soup can be topped up, the meal was not so long that it became necessary to check (at 15++ I hope that diners can get free top ups).

Food quality is good, but I conclude that without burpple, it's not worth your time and money (maybe even with burpple it's not worth it...).

Wanted to use the Burpple 1-for-1s here but saw that they had a 20% off promotion for the month of June in celebration of their 16th anniversary.

Their laksa broth is certainly not the rich and lemak kind you would expect from a true blue laksa store, but it's certainly spicy and coconutty enough that you can drink it as a soup without feeling jelat or like you just wrecked your digestive system. Nothing to shout about for the meat and vegetables, but I would recommend the meatball platter as the balls were meaty and delicious. Definitely give this a try.

Are you a fan of both laksa and steamboat? If so, youโ€™re bound to love San Laksa Steamboat! Pair their Signature Laksa ($10) soup base with their Seafood Platter ($25) which consists of 3 prawns, 3 baby octopuses, 3 scallops, 3 mussels, and 3 bamboo clams, and youโ€™ll be in for a treat.

$25 with lots of seafood. Great choice . 1 for 1 with burpple.

This is my first time trying laksa steamboat and the one I had at San Laksa was pretty good! We chose laksa and chicken soup as our soup base, as well as an array of ala carte ingredients which amounted to $150 for 4 pax. This is quite value-for-money given that there was a one-for-one deal for the seafood platter and ribeye beef platter on Burpple Beyond.

The laksa broth is flavourful, smooth and delicious, and it goes well with ingredients such as pork belly, dumplings, taupok and tofu skin roll. The fried meatballs are nice too. The seafood platter is really worth it - it comes with tiger prawns, baby octopus and an assortment of shells, clams and mussels. There is a wide variety of noodles to choose from and I like the pairing of Champon noodles (reminds me of Japanese ramen) and thick bee hoon with laksa.

On the downside, I didnโ€™t really enjoy the chicken soup as it was not very robust or flavourful (not sure if that was because we were having laksa on the other side which was very flavourful), and the ribeye beef platter was a little too beefy/gamey for my liking.

Having said that, this is still a very enjoyable steamboat dinner and the laksa did not disappoint!

Delicious soup base as recommended by Food King
Meat portions a little too small for the price they are charging

Happened to be around the area and had craving for laksa hotpot. Generous portion of ingredients, laksa base was tasty and atmosphere was cosy. Will definitely visit again!

We got the laksa and chicken broth. Simple, no frills but satisfying meal! Small selection of a la carte ingredients and basic sauce bar. But u really don't need dipping sauce with the laksa broth anyway. Spent close to $40 for 2.
For those who drive, there are just 2 lots available in front of the restaurant, and it doesn't seem lk there's alternative parking close by.

Their laksa Steamboat remains delicious and though prices have crept up, it is still an affordable place for small eaters. Me and hubby had 10 dishes+2 noodles and 2 drinks for S$51.60++. Noodles/Rice are S$1++ each, other dishes range from S$2 (taupok) to S$10 (toman fillet) and drinks are about S$4++. If you like laksa, give them a try!

They are popular for their rich and tasty laksa soup. Ala carte ordering, food is only so so, but if you're a laksa person, you should try :)

If you are in the south. Or done with Sentosa, this is the place to go for a filling and scrumptious meal. The broth is flavorful and thick enough, without being overpowering. Everything served is fresh enough and complementing. Especially on a tiring day, this will wake you up!

Love their Laksa broth as soup base. Yummy to the max.

Unique laksa broth, definitely worth the price. Ala carte dishes. Able to choose air-conditioned or outdoor dining. 5 pax about $14 each.

choose two out of three soups bases. picked laksa obviously and the chicken broths and pang seh-ed the mushroom one. the dishes are quite ex to me, so we ordered quite carefully. just some mushrooms, veg, tau pok, thick beehoon, beef and pork.
-
the laksa was just nice. gao enough but not too over. its not the super coconutty type you would expect but the flavour does come through. however, it gets saltier towards the end. the chicken soup on the other hand was on the lighter side which kind of helps to reset your palette in a way. good compliment to each other i guess.
-
tau pok and laksa are like a couple with a freehold lease. ordinary stuff but these two components just work very well together. the beef and pork were sliced quite thinly so cooking them is a breeze.
-
threw in the thick beehoon last to make a legit bowl of laksa noodles with the various ingredients we have. the beehoon soaked up the gravy very well. anyone can be a chef with this magical setup.
-
portion was alright. but i could have more. highly recommended to reserve a table first for peak hours before going over.
-
$21 per pax.
