A convenient walk away from Telok Ayer. The well thought-out interior mirrors that of izakayas across Japan.

My partner and I were particularly impressed with the pork jowl, grilled squid and mentaiko crab. The well-seasoned meat paired wonderfully with the richness of the onsen egg, while the squid was charred to perfection, with the flesh springy yet not chewy. The umami of the crab was delicious as well, and the presentation of the dish in a crab shell gave it extra wow factor. Of course, we had to pair our Japanese fare with an ice-cold mug of Sapporo beer.

Would certainly recommend for a fun night out with friends, family or partners!

We went on a tuesday night and luckily we made a reservation - the place was crowded and almost all the tables were taken.

We got their crab with mentaiko, grilled squid, pork jowl and garlic fried rice. The food was great - well seasoned and delicious. Special shoutout to the squid and the pork jowl!! The squid paired perfectly with the mayo sauce and the pork jowl was tender, soft and when eaten with the egg - a burst of flavours in my mouth. The service was really good, the waiters were attentive and refilled my water before me asking. They also have certificates to recommend sake - so if you drink, definitely get their recommendations as they are experts.

Really enjoyed my time there, total was about $40 per pax (after gst and svc charge). Will be back again!

Very nice oden, reminds me of the time that I was in Japan enjoying these food.

The sushi came with a generous amount of mentaiko topped of the salmon slice , it have both a nice salty taste and a good bite of fish , paired well with any alcohol you will be ordering would definitely recommend

ordered an assortment of dishes but the beef stew stands out the most. it was rich in its sweetness and super flavourful. highly recommended to order this if you ever drop by!

Went on a Monday Night and was lucky to get a seat immediately. Ordered Pork Jowl Charsu, Kani Gratin, Gyuniku Jaga and Garlic Fried rice.

Pork Jowl Charsu - the pork was so good!! Portion is quite small but definitely worth the try
Kani Gratin - Ordered this because of the positive reviews on Google. Fell short of my expectations because I was expecting it to be filled with crab meat. They are quite generous with the mentaiko though
Gyuniku Jaga - this! omg! exceeded my expectation. Was debating whether to order the oden soup or this but I'm so glad I chose this! The soup was so sweet so good so flavourful!
Garlic Fried rice - a good bowl of healthy tasting garlic fried rice

All in all, I'm quite satisfied with the food although it has a slightly high price tag. The indoor area could be quite noisy if there is a big group of people. Saw many customers ordered kushiyaki and alcoholic drinks while catching up. A good place to catch up with your friends after work.
