The Deep-Fried Tofu dish was savoury yet light. Definitely whets the appetite and gets the table ready for the rest of the meal. We ordered it as part of the 2 Person Platter (w/Sake of the Week). Kudos to the great customer service too!!

Great ambience, service & very tasty food! Ordered 5 dishes to share with a friend - our tummy and hearts were full!!!
(1) Shukuu Tamago (Sweet Egg) - $ 3.80
(2) Ikura Don (Premium salmon roe on sushi rice) - $12
(3) Rosti Mentai (Swiss-style potato shreds with mentaiko) - $9
(4) Tori Kara-Age (Shukuu's Chicken bites, contains cheese) - $10
(5) Gyuniku Jaga (Beef with potatoes stew) - $10

Strongly recommend the beef with potatoes stew - both my friend and I loved that the most 😄

will definitely be back to try the other items on the menu ☻

Not the typical Japanese restaurant that sells sushi and ramen. Shukuu Izakaya serves primarily Japanese grilled food like grilled mushroom and meat skewers which are both well-seasoned and cooked to perfection. The meat was slightly charred on the outside and juicy on the inside.

I also had the mentaiko grilled scallops which were fresh and sweet, without the mentaiko sauce being too over powering. The shabu shabu beef was a cold dish that caught me by surprise, but a pleasant surprise as the beef is still tasty and flavorful. Overall a great dining experience and would definitely recommend people to give Shukuu Izakaya a try.

I visited Shukuu Izakaya with some of my friends and had pretty good time! According to my friends who've been to Japan, this restaurant has the same atmosphere as a an authentic Sake bar in Japan! I tried the 2 person platter with the sake of the week. The stand outs were the Sake & butter Oysters, Chicken Bites and Deep Fried Tofu! Overall the food was delectable. The staff were nice and attentive too. I will definitely visit Shukuu Izakaya again!

Absolutely loved the Kushiyaki from the Experience Platter!! Worth every cent and 100% would go again:)

3 chicken, 1 pork and 1 veg assorted skewers. My fav is the pork belly and chicken balls. Chicken balls sauce tasted like tori q’s lol but it was juicy on the inside unlike tori q’s. The rest was avg. A special shoutout to the friendly service and cozy ambience!
