This is apparently the first specialty souffle theme restaurant in Singapore at Duxton Hill. The laksa taste is reminiscent of our local flavour, though for the price we feel that the souffle itself could be more substantial.

Soufflé Glacé Fruits Confits ($16) is slightly different from norm. Digging into the iced soufflé, you’ll find a decadent variety of candied fruit hidden within. It was interesting but after the first few bites, it gets coying sweet.

But old fashioned Valrhona Chocolat Noir et Sauce Chocolat ($18/indiv or $24/large) was a hot favourite! The eggy soufflé, made of Valrhona dark chocolate with a pot of chocolate sauce, is a sensational dessert that always pleases.

The new kid on the block; Soufflé features fluffy, ethereal eggy goodness done in both sweet and savoury styles. Injecting a local twist, I actually really liked this hiam, rich laksa gravy drizzled over the crisp top and mixed in with the moist, cloud-like soufflé. Besides the two prawns on top, there’s cut up chunks of it inside the soufflé as well. Tasty and definitely worth a try once despite the steep price.
