Dishes here are extremely overpriced. Food-wise, it's quite enjoyable but for these prices, there are restaurants with better ambience elsewhere because it's located in some HDB complex next to a Springleaf prata π. The restaurant only has 1 indoor table and the alfresco dining feels like a cozy backyard but I it didn't feel classy to me. This gimmick seems to work for the expats though, who make up Summer Hill's main crowd.
The duck confit itself wasn't really that tender. Though the duck confit here took a backseat, it allowed the accompanying foie gras ravioli, mushroom sauce, and mousseline to shine through. The mousseline was divinely velvety and went so well with the strong mushroom sauce.
Very enjoyable! The mussels were full off flavour despite the very liquid sauce. The sauce itself was absolutely bursting with savoury flavour that I couldn't stop dipping my bread in.
Good and tender. The hazelnut added an interesting crunchy dimension to the dish that made the meat taste almost sweet and chocolatey. The mash was also extremely smooth!
Better than KFC I guess. Sadly, the price is 10 times of KFC chicken but probably not even thrice as good. It's also extremely oily.
Probably one of the BEST fries I've ever had! Perfect thickness with an unparalleled crispiness outside. There was also this slight sweetness that I couldn't put my finger on. It would be a hard 10/10 if only there wasn't a pool of oil at the bottom π
Really decadent 99% dark chocolate tart that glued my jaw together. But after a while, it got a bit monotonous.
