One of my favourite of the $98 Omakase lunch set. It’s all very fresh! The tuna belly just melts in your mouth. 🥹😋

Following closely behind the 5-kind Sashimi platter, was a belly-warming Truffle Chawamushi. Soft and wobbly, the savoury steamed egg custard was richly flavoured with shaved truffles, shio kombu, and truffle caviar - very luxe and umami. There were also bits of prawns, snow crab, and scallops in the mix. The earthy flavours were strong but not too overpowering for me so I really enjoyed the combination.

Part of Sushi Yujo’s Rikai $98 lunch Omakase.

Love the 5-kind sashimi platter from the Sushi Yujo’s Rikai $98 lunch Omakase! Super fresh! It included a thick slice of salmon, a plump hotate, sea bream, amberjack which provided that firm as well as lean contrasting bites, and melty chutoro topped with aromatic bursts of truffle caviar.

Quite accessible with their $98 lunch Omakase menu, Sushi Yujo’s Rikai set was pretty fancy and served as a great “treat yourself” splurge without burning a big hole in the wallet, in my opinion.

Of great value, the course starts with appetisers, then moves on to an assortment of sashimi, two cooked dishes (Mentaiko Scallops and Truffle Chawanmushi), and 5 kinds of nigiri sushi, before ending off with miso soup and dessert. I love the quality and freshness of the food, the service was also very warm and attentive. However, I do find it a whee bit repetitive with a handful of dishes using the same key ingredients like the scallops and truffle caviar (not that I am really complaining).

Definitely over-the-top, the Scallop with Minced Tuna nigiri was one of my favourite items from the Rikai $98 lunch Omakase set. Covered in truffle shavings, the sushi was stacked with truffle caviar, minced tuna with ikura, and torched scallop. Quite the mouthful, the piece was surprisingly tender as I cut into it effortlessly with my chopsticks for easy bites. Real decadent, the elements came together superbly; a nice piece to ease into the final two courses of Miso Soup and dessert (Black Sesame Monaka Ice Cream Sandwich and Matcha Pudding with Azuki).
