These are seriously stinky beans right here, but in a good way. With a raw funk that will put off many but has me hooked, they're stir-fried in a moderately spicy and sweet chilli sauce with chillis, onions and juicy prawns. Slightly smoky and brimming with umami, I could eat this with only a plateful of plain rice and walk away a satisfied man.

Nicely grilled squid with visually appealing char marks. Eaten on its own, the flesh is tender but doesn’t carry much taste. Dipped into the accompanying sweet and mild chilli sauce, it’s a flavour bomb and textural delight.

Huge and fluffy with a crispy exterior, this is what a proper Thai omelette is all about. Ask for the sweet chilli sauce that comes with the grilled squid because it goes great with the omelette and rice.

We all enjoyed this especially when we rarely do any deep frying at home.

The fried crispy egg was da bomb. Done right in every way and amazing that it wasn’t oily.
The Mee Mama salad caught our eyes while flipping through their menu, and we were so glad we ordered it. Served warm and with a squeeze of lime; it was so light, refreshing and satisfying.
We lamented before at other places when they toned down the taste of Thai dishes locally. But their Tom Yum soup here packed so much flavours and the fiery punch, it was such love-hate relationship when we couldn’t stop taking the soup but it was hot to handle.
Grilled pork tongue was the first for us, apart from the usual pork jowl or collar other places would offer. We enjoyed the chewy texture as a starter to the meal.
While the prices here were generally higher than some of the other Thai restaurants nearby; we noticed that their portions were also larger and ingredients were generous. Hence, it will be good to visit with a group of 4 or more to try more dishes.

It had been ages since we were at “Dee Tongue Thai”. Hence it was imperative to order most of our favourites at our first meal there in months. We did however, also add on the Grilled Pork, a dish we had never eaten before. It turned out to be a wonderful choice.
The meat was deliciously chewy yet tender (it had to be from the neck or jowl) and marinated in such a way that after being grilled, it boasted a light taste of bacon albeit without the sweetness. This “bacon vibe” was enhanced when I swished the pork in the accompanying mildly spicy dip which also had a smokiness to it. So, not surprisingly, this item has joined the rather long list of dishes we love here.
