More Reviews of good food at Wine Connection Tapas Bar & Bistro (Robertson Walk)

Back to my favourite place for steak fixed ๐Ÿ˜Œ Always love the atmosphere, food are good and affordable ๐Ÿ˜

Here is what we ordered:

๐Ÿฅ—๐“๐ฎ๐ง๐š ๐“๐š๐ญ๐š๐ค๐ข ๐’๐š๐ฅ๐š๐ ($๐Ÿ๐Ÿ—)
๐Ÿ‘‰ Seared Tuna, Mesclun salad, feta cheese, lemon dressing served with spicy Mayo sauce.
First time ordering this and is definitely a good appetizer as the taste is spicy and sour. I love the tuna slice and itโ€™s huge too ๐Ÿ˜

๐Ÿ• ๐‡๐š๐ฆ & ๐Œ๐ฎ๐ฌ๐ก๐ซ๐จ๐จ๐ฆ ($๐Ÿ๐Ÿ–)
My all time favourite, the crust is crispy and thin which I love it! Will always order either this or pepperoni pizza without fail ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‹

๐Ÿ—๐ŸŽ)
This is the reason why I love to visit them because their steak are affordable and good ๐Ÿ˜ well seasoned and temperature is on point. ๐Ÿ‘
๐Ÿ‘‰Comes with fries , salad and choice of sauce

And currently they have outlets which are very accessible, so if you havenโ€™t tried it, do give it a try ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜‹

The paella is on the fishy end, and it is unusual that they have such chunky pieces of chickens. This didnt meet my expectations for the usual paella, although the squid and prawns are tender and fresh. The wines definitely made up for it.

Never thought that Ah Pek would like this kind of fancy stuff but Ah Pek did enjoy this pretentious session of good cheese and some wine. There remains more to be learnt about cheese and wine pairings but for starters, maybe get some recommendations from the server ๐Ÿ˜‚

We ordered 6 tapas for $45, the fried chili squid (best item), boxing chicken, chicken quesadillas, calamari, prawn croquettes and Thai pork meatballs. All the sides were immensely dry, clearly a plot to get customers to order more drinks... :-)

Dessert was chocolate lava, brownie, and apple crumble. The lava cake oozes out, and the apple crumble perfect. Worth a shot, though the tapas are a bit on the pricey side - $45 could get you 3 mains.

Gambas would be better if there's more garlic. Yummy still. Generous bread for dipping.
Service was good too. Very attractive.
Good wine too.

definitely a good place for Italian food lovers without blowing a lot of money! Food was really good and the place had a very lively atmosphere! Service was a bit slow, maybe because the restaurant was fully booked but Will definitely visit again! 7.5/10!

Wine Connection is one of the largest wine importers in Singapore, which explains their impressive collection of wine labels and the affordable price tags. A glass of red starts from $7 while premium labels start from $11 per glass. The food won't change your life, but it's hearty, solid fare that will keep your tummies satisfied. Go for the Seafood Paella ($32) that comes with a generous portion of mussels, prawns, spicy chorizo and huge pieces of chicken โ€” great for filling two very hungry stomachs. If not, share the Parma Ham and Rocket Pizza ($16) โ€” a thin crusted tomato-based pizza topped with slices of parma ham, rocket and mozzarella. The buzzy atmosphere and good vibes at the Robertson Quay outlet will instantly put you at ease, making for a relaxed date night that won't break the bank. Pro tip: They do not take reservations after 7pm, so come early to snag a seat or be prepared to wait.
Avg Price: $60 per couple (with drinks)

As expected of a Paella - moist and super flavourful with chock full of ingredients (think prawns, mussels, huge chicken pieces and calamari and slices of chorizo). Fed then both of us really well (esp. when we are both well known big eaters ๐Ÿ˜น). The dish could be more well seasoned though - found parts of it to be over-salted (need to #saltbae it more?). The slight kiss of lemon elevated the whole taste - I feel I could eat it forever ๐Ÿ˜‹

Choose your platter with beef, chicken, and seafood options. We chose 3 different beef cuts. And it was fabulous!

This dish definitely looks better than it taste. I love tuna steak and it's so hard to find in Singapore. So thought I shall try it as the description didn't sound too bad. Sesame crusted tuna steak with black fettuccine and tomato relish. The tuna steak was ok but not great. The flavours of the tuna was mainly from the sesame seeds itself. But the fettuccine.....was just bad. It's like oily noodles with no taste at all...and the tomatoes were just raw fresh tomatoes. So if you're here, just go for their pizzas and wine. Can't go wrong with those!

Laid back, chic vibe, great wine list. I never knew that they serve decent if not quite spectacular food. The lamb rack I order, is done just right. Juicy but cooked through (I asked for medium doneness), the meat retains the pink and it's utterly very scrumptious. The sides of asparagus, wedges and eggplant salad/salsa compliments, adding the soft and the crunchy, playing with the texture of the food. The sauce (ordered red wine sauce) is simply so beautiful! Throw in a glass of red and good company. This place is the place to be for casual 1st date if you don't want to come out too strong or dinner with friends. This laid back casual dinning helps to put away any awkwardness. The staff here is friendly and extremely helpful! They know their wine very well, and can help you with your selection. #EatBurpLove

For the meat lovers out there, this is a must try! A combo set of beef, lamb cutlet, and duck breast with blue cheese and pepper sauce. (For those of you who don't like cheese, don't worry. u get to choose from a variety of sauces to go with your meat) yummy! ๐Ÿ‘

If you like the idea of affordable tapas to go with equally affordable booze, then Wine Connection would be THE chill out place. Wine enthusiasts, take note: whether you're on the red or white camp, light-bodied or heavy-bodied, you guys would be delighted at the range of wine selection. Our only complains? Having to scream over the din of the crowd and booming club hits.

Love the cold cut platter too! Feasting with #family is โค๏ธ #love #Godisgood

Very Asian in flavour and great texture.

Soft Cheese. Semi-Hard Cheese. Hard Cheese. Blue Cheese. Goatโ€™s Cheese. Through all the cheesiness, Iโ€™m so happy Iโ€™ve finally found another mutual cheese lover whose faves are also the strong (pungent) variants @jubelici0us
