Served with a unique tasting Chestnut honey, fresh Thyme and toasted Sourdough. One of my favourite go-to starters when I dine here.

One of the newest items to hit @lebonfunk’s dinner menu which also came highly recommended by the restaurant’s staff.
Layers of thinly sliced briny beef tongue sandwiched between a punchy sauce spiked with crunchy cornichons, herbs & mustard and pillowy buttered brioche (real good crumb @tanzybra, we’re so proud!). There’s so much meat stuffed between those buns (check 1:1 tongue to brioche ratio), that chunks of filling helplessly fall out whenever we took a bite; but all that’s part of the joy when savouring a sammich - picking at the loose ends off your plate.
Sincerely wishing that this luxurious number will be included in their inaugural delivery menu if and when they should launch one!

PS: Shoutout to @sanchialuke who waited on our table, for your graceful yet outstandingly attentive service that night!

I was absolutely mind blown, as were my fellow dinner companions. This was the dessert we almost didn’t order but so so glad we did.

Creamy smooth celery infused custard with a touch of much needed acidity from buttermilk, crisp fresh celery and a sweet buckwheat crumble. It’s the refreshing kind of sweet finish you look for at the end of a good savoury meal.
@keirin_buck, you definitely nailed this BUCKwheat dish. The next time I’m here, definitely ordering one entire portion to myself.

It’s mix and match, coconut-loaded fried stuff galore! The fragrance of their steamed coconut rice greets you the moment you set foot in this joint. I loved that you’re allowed to pick your own ingredients and how much you’d like to pile on your plate.
Friends introduced me to their ‘Ayam Masak Merah’; slow braised Spicy Tomato Chicken, which was fork tender and I absolutely love the sauce on their coconut rice. Food is on the slightly pricier side, but definitely tasty and authentic.
Oh yes! Did I mention, free flow Coconut Rice?

Back at my favourite zichar spot to try other drool-worthy offerings from their menu.
This is actually the 奶黄鲍鱼菇 which should translate to “Buttered Abalone Mushrooms”. A fantastic combination of sweet and savoury, enhanced with the fragrance of curry leaves; reminded us very much of curry-flavoured Twisties in a good nostalgic way. The fried batter retains its crispness well, coupled with the slight sponginess of the thinly sliced mushroom in the middle.
So good, we ordered another plate to snack on right after our meal.

New on their revamped menu, a sushi-rice-less Unagi Maki! Rolled with crisp Prawn Tempura, fried Unagi, Mozzarella & Tamago Tempura (yes these were battered together and fried, so you get a good touch of sweetness from the egg, and saline stringy cheese when it’s still warm), fresh crunch of baby romaine lettuce and Capsicum Rice Paper drizzled with tangy Okononiyaki sauce.
That’s plenty for an entire mouthful, but I managed to stuff all that tasty goodness in and it definitely served as a good lunch.

Very much like a Strawberry Spritzer. Flavours of strawberries, prickly pear, lemon and mint, gassed up with a dash of cream soda.
Superb non-alcoholic alternative to go with the tasty food here.
Available for a limited time only!

April’s running promotion for The Sushi Bar’s Far East Plaza outlet; each slice of salmon sashimi will only cost you a dollar! (Typically it’s 3 slices at $5.90 on their menu)
Each slice retains still its thickness and freshness as how they usually are when I order them.

This promotion runs Monday to Thursday, till 22nd April 2018, ALL DAY for dine only! Order as much you want, as many times as you wish, set your sashimi-loving-souls free and indulge! Whilst stocks last daily.

PS: Salmon Sushi are also going at $1 each

Peeping into the substantial amount of ingredients in South Union Park’s Ham & Cheese Sandwich. Medley of Cheesy Meaty goodness.
Only available during weekend brunch!

On my ‘must-order’ list every time I frequent this neighborhood eatery. Some days I even preorder it as they occasionally tend to sell out pretty early.
Zingy lemon curd encased in a thin sweet pastry, finished with a crisp layer of burnt sugar to balance out the acidity. 💛
