Very nice and relaxing environment to have a chill brunch with your friends. I believe the Avocado & Dukkah is one of the hot selling toasts but I had Scrambled Egg with Smoked Tomatoes! The toast had a chewy texture that went well with the warmly served scrambled eggs. I should have paired it along with a cuppa hot coffee though!

Aesthetically pleasing space with nice coffee and airy ambience. Great for takeaways given the proximity to shops, museums and open spaces, but when it is not crowded it is a great hangout space too!

Finally tried The Glasshouse after hearing lots about their artisanal toasts and coffee, and we're glad to say that we were not disappointed at all. In fact, we loved the toasts combinations!😻 The 'Classic Salmon'🐟 was well balanced in terms of flavour, with the radish and pickled shallots adding a nice crunch to the dish. The 'Banana Pecan Miso Butter'🍌 was a great sweet treat as well, with the coconut mousse adding so much creaminess and flavour to the dish.🥥 We couldn't pick a fav between the two as they were both too good so we definitely recommend to get both!😬 The coffee was smooth and good too, especially with its beautiful latte art! The menu at The Glasshouse may seem limited at first glance, but they did it so well that we'll definitely be heading back again👍
The Gula Melaka Cake with Cashew Crumble is a rich butter cake infused with gula melaka, coconut milk and rum, then topped with cashew nuts.
The dessert is also served with a creamy scoop of ice cream, which you can drizzle espresso over.
Some may find paying that much for Iced Kopi ($7) not that worthwhile, and may choose an ‘upgrade’ with its Kopi Shake ($9) which is more foamy, served in a cocktail, and has rich-chocolaty aftertaste.
Swipe right to check out the beautiful interior.

Rolled in freshly-made soft crepes, I was smitten by how warm, sweet & comforting the fig jam was🥰 I did find the camembert quite meager but nevermind that, I’d totally re-order for the jam!! Couldn’t get enough of it.
The ricotta tart on the other hand was unfortunately dry & crumbly. Come for the crepe!
Visited the place because of raving reviews. Not sure if it’s because of my high expectations, I was met with disappointment. We ordered the wagyu cheese burger, the vegetable tartine (can’t remember the exact name but it’s not the roasted pears one), the cold brew soft serve, earl grey tea cake and an almond crossaint.
The only saving grace was the soft serve but honestly, I have had better and it’s not worth it because you have to add two bucks to have it serve in a cone. Nothing blew my mind here except my wallet. The wagyu beef burger came with curly fries and it reminded me of macs. Shake shack does better beef burgers so get my point yeah?
The tartine was...too healthy for my liking. Well, while the ciabatta was good but too much bread overload for me. I probably picked the wrong dish. Crossaint was huge and dense. Prefer Tiong Bahru bakery’s rendition. Tea cake was light and fluffy, suitable for people who enjoy a good chiffon cake but not for me. It’s a been there, done that kind of place for me. No offence to anyone but place is crowded and well loved by many as seen from the crowd yesterday when we visited at about 5ish.
This pale yellow hued soft serve ($7) is super interesting with the umami, fermented flavor of miso in the backdrop of the sweetness of burnt caramel. Not bad, just different in a good way. In fact, it prevented the soft serve from tasting overly rich and sweet and the caramel flavor didn't get too jelak or overpowering. And I loved the popcorn too. It was crunchy and paired well with the soft serve well.
Reached to find a queue system infront of the cafe - just leave your name, pax no. and number. Took a couple of photos for my friend and we were seated already. Pretty quick 🙂 Noticed that the queue was endless - we were there from 12pm-1:45pm and there was always a crowd.
1. Shishito chili chicken - south asian spice with yogurt dip; mild heat on delightfully marinated chicken drumsticks. Bread has a nice crust with strong garlic flavor.
2. Lemon curd pancakes (brunch dish) - it’s an alright breakfast, nothing special. Blueberries were sweet though!
3. Chorizo and octopus risotto - my FAV dish! It brings you to the sea, then takes you right back to land... 😂 a pity that the octopus legs were overcooked but the rice was overflowing with flavors. Looooved the rich seafood stock. Egg sitting on the dish was perfect too 🙂
We ordered 3 iced coffees. Total bill for 3 pax was $26 each!
This was a bit pricey for basically avocado toast but very very good. The roasted cherry tomatoes are so tasty and smashed avo is well seasoned. Portion is generous as well.

Always nice to have a sea view while enjoying my dinner. The grilled chicken burger ($15.90) has a whole piece of boneless chicken leg, melted cheese and fries. The chicken was very juicy and tender, its buns had a nice hint of buttery taste. Would definitely order this again! Will be back for their chill ambience and great food.
East Coast Park branch: Have never been one for 'food shacks' in parks but this place was awesome! Having passed by @georgesbeachclub multiple times, it didn’t come off as a very promising place initially, but was proven wrong. Definitely lot’s of improvements to be made but enjoyed myself there. Never expected the food to turn out so well 👍 Relaxing vibe + good food is a winner for me.

Pros: Awesome view of the sea & to just people watch. Perfect for families, ample space within the compound. Sand-box play area for your kids. For the price paid, it’s one of the best pork ribs i’ve had in SG, no kidding (my 1st time trying here). Fried stuff was really good too!
Cons: Avoid the weekends if you don’t like screaming children. Crowd can get quite loud & chaotic. Difficult to get the servers attention, they are usually camping inside.
Price: S$53.90 - Fisherman’s Basket, BBQ Pork Ribs (Full Rack)
