Very authentic Lebanese/Mediterranean cuisine!

🍴& 💵:
Mixed grill ($32.90) - Consists of
(a) Lamb Kofta which is minced lamb mixed with spices
(b) Chicken Kofta which is chicken mixed with spices
(c) Shish Tawook which is marinated grilled chicken
I actually like the lamb Kofta the most although I don’t really fancy lamb because of the gamey taste. This has the lamb taste but was not too strong.
Chicken Kofta was not bad too. My friends said it tasted like ngoh hiang lol.
The shish tawook was my least favourite because it’s so dry… it’s like tandoori chicken actually.
All in all, the Koftas are good because of the numerous spices that were being used to make it. Every bite was so flavourful.

Tiger prawns ($32.90) - The prawns are huge and fresh!!! Generally the seasoning was pretty normal like those salt and pepper grilled prawns.

As for the Basmati rice, I really love it because it’s super flavourful! But then, it’s super oily. Free lip gloss lol.

Okay one bad thing was that they took 30mins to serve the tiger prawns then they took another 30mins to serve the meat platter. Because I wanted to take photo of both dishes together, I ended up starving!!! Not sure why it took so long when they don’t even have a lot of customers that day… angry!

💵:
It’s on burpple beyond 1-for-1! Enough to be shared among 4 pax because there’s a lot of rice lol.

“Tastes really authentic!”

Nice brisket but don’t think this was the best dish here!

Chanced upon this establishment the other day when walking past Midpoint Orchard and though not unheard of, the concept was seemingly rather interesting. Offering a handful of dishes on a Saturday afternoon, I went for the Zzangi, Tofu and Eggplant dishes — all of which were decent though nothing much to shout about except for the eggplant which was soft and a little savoury yet sweet — something that those whom love Miso Eggplant would probably like. A little pricey at $8, though I guess it is kinda worth for the experience once; after all, Japanese Economical Rice isn’t quite something one would find in a mall everyday.

(PS: The shop’s main focus would be their Izakaya offerings; it transforms into a drinking hole by night time, which seemingly offers more interesting items on its menu. Talk about wise use of space for an Izakaya during day time!)

Not too bad a bowl of vermicelli, pig intestines were nice but I wish they gave more of it, considering its original price. Bowl was quite big but unfortunately most of it was soup - the actual vermicelli and pig intestines weren’t much.

Overall a nice meal but small quantity, not worth the original price. We used the Beyond 1-for-1 deal so it wasn’t too bad.

capturing fresh, chewy prawns but somewhat missing the spicy kick of 红油抄手。it's more on the sour and tangy side but I wished it also gave more of that numbing delight. Nevertheless, still plump & juicy ($7.50)

Ten bucks before tax & service charge for this piquant plate of fried rice with honest to god crabmeat in there? Shoot son, get me more! @khaohomsg has an ample array of fried rice, and this one commands the highest premium of them all. Yup, they’re in the eight to ten dollar range. That’s some sick value right there.⠀

The fabulously fluffy fried rice is splendidly salted, with the wonders of wok hei amplifying the stellar seasoning of the egg & spring onion speckled rice. As for the crabmeat, they were delectably fresh and cooked competently. It relies more on the strongly seasoned fried rice for flavouring, and that’s perfectly alright.⠀

Have been eating this for a longgg time, probably for the past 8-10 years. I call this the “korean caifan” - you get rice, 4 dishes, and seaweed soup. My fav dishes are the beef, braised potato slices, taukwa, broccoli, kimchi and omelette. I rotate between these options, depending on what’s available. I also like that they use good quality rice that is slightly sticky! Overall it’s yummy, very homely, with generous portions. I was really full after the meal so rmb to bring a big eater to give some of your food to 😂

Tried some of the pork and I think the beef is much better, but my friend says that the pork is decent and “better than food court korean”. They also have bbq outlets so maybe I’ll try that in future, but the original store (this one) just has a charm that has me coming back again and again :)

And the funny part I also sent him surprise dinner from here. What a coincidence.
