If you purchase the groupon voucher, it was not a bad place to try. I recommend their sea bass over all other fish.

$8.80 for choice of 1 side. I got the cauliflower rice and added an additional side of salad for $3! Total damage $11.80. Meat was quite decent and portion was generous. Not bad for a protein fix!

Guaranteed to satiate carb-lovers, this large pot of sweet and spicy stew is chockfull of ramyeon, chewy tteokbokki, Korean fish cake and vegetables. Two to three people can comfortably share it.
Perhaps it's because I tend to favour salty over sweet, I have to say, I found it a little overwhelming towards the end. Hardcore fans of Korean food will probably have read that sentence in disbelief πŸ˜‚.

Featured here are 2 newly-launched items: Pumpkin Soft Serve with Matcha Mochi Balls & Cookie Butter Soft Serve with Raspberry Rose Mochi Balls.

The soft, chewy texture of the glutinous rice donuts had us all at the very first bite! Loved the intensely rich, mild bitterness of the molten matcha filling. Those with a sweet tooth would dig the raspberry burst.

While the creamy pumpkin soft serve was a delight to have, I'd go for the nutty, buttery speculoos anytime. You may request for the latter to serve with the matcha donuts – which I highly recommend!

Many thanks to Bird (@brotherbirdsg) for the warm hospitality and Cassie for extending the invitation!

A beautiful sloppy mess. The 24-hour braised beef cheek is shamelessly tender; its gravy rendering the the two pieces of toast beneath into yummy soggy-ness. I can't imagine a better accomplice than the scrambled-with-mushroom eggs.

3.5 munchies: Not usually a fan of Earl Grey tea, but I'd gladly have this custard puff for dessert or tea anytime. Lightly crisped on the outside and well-puffed and slightly chewy on the inside, the choux was filled with smooth, luscious custard that exuded citrus and strong floral notes. Had the sweetness of the custard been toned down a little, it'd have been an awesome treat!

Still my favourite, since the opening of their 1st Itacho. Baked stuff crab, stuffed generously with crabmeat, mushroom and rice, this piping hot plate is a good "mini bowl" that have good savoury Unami taste. Simple but highly underrated, this little crabby plate, still maintain the moist, even though it's is baked.

The name is Magnum. The look is Magnum. BUT IT IS NOT A MAGNUM!

Instead, this special dessert listed on the board (as the chef took pains to emphasise) is conjured entirely from scratch in-house. Which makes the luxuriously creamy block of cheesecake-flavoured ice-cream coated in a crisp and thick white chocolate shell, all the more impressive! Just before serving, it even gets prettied up with baby dollops of cookie cream (which tastes exactly like speculoos!) and freshest raspberries.

This was nicely cooked, with each strand of noodles done al dente. The pasta was evenly coated with a layer of mentaiko sauce and topped with seaweed and ikura. The savoury mentaiko paired with the burst-in-your-mouth ikura proved to be very satisfying!

A little greasy, a little sweet, a lot spicy and a lot satisfying. Can't explain why but whenever the rain pours, I get a craving for less-than-healthy food, like this Macaroni Goreng. Anyone else feels the same?

My brain said normal, my heart said CURRY.
Guess you knew what I followed. After a 15 minute queue, got my hands in the crispy chicken cutlet Cantonese style noodles... In local Hainanese style curry.
It's the local tonkatsu curry I think. More people should sell this.

And a Mexican fusion bistro in the night called Don't Tell Mama. Had the usual Big breakfast $18 and Bulgogi panini $12; the bulgogi sauce was enjoyable πŸ‘πŸΌ |

Strawberry latte $7 isn't latte, more like milkshake to me. You've been warned. Anyway, do try the blueberry milk! Pretty comforting.
