beyond deal made it very worth! steak was good and special mention for the red wine(?) sauce ๐Ÿ˜‹ generous serving of truffle fries too. however wondering why the deal doesnโ€™t apply to lower priced items like the crabmeat pasta/duck confit ๐Ÿ˜ฅ

We had pork ribs ($25) and prawn pesto pasta ($23) with the burpple 1-1 deal. The pork ribs were fork-tender and flavourful, and I really enjoyed the pine nuts in the pesto sauce.

Totally understand why these braised beef cheeks ($25++) are so highly raved!! The beef is extremely tender and falls apart easily. The meat can afford to be a little more seasoned, but it works out well enough because the other components (sautรฉed mushrooms, bacon, mash potato) pack a lot of flavour. The red wine comes through beautifully!

While I loved their burger, I didnโ€™t enjoy the ๐˜ฝ๐˜ฝ๐™Œ ๐˜ฝ๐™–๐™—๐™ฎ ๐™‹๐™ค๐™ง๐™  ๐™๐™ž๐™—๐™จ ($24) as much though. While the meat was tender, it wasnโ€™t really well marinated. The BBQ flavour mainly came from the thick layer of BBQ sauce on top of the ribs. Sadly, the best part of this dish was the wedges, so I probably wonโ€™t be getting this again. โ €โ €

This place reminds me of those Australian brunch spots with their tiled walls and high ceilings. I was actually pleasantly surprised by how pretty the restaurant was! It actually reminds me of Merci Marcel (though my impression of that place is mostly from peeping in thru the windows rip)โ €

Iโ€™d defo be back to try their other mains ๐Ÿฅฐ Would recommend making a reservation though, because it was quite packed on a Wednesday night! โ €โ €

Paid $15 per pax after Beyond

I know everyone gets pasta at this place, but I seriously canโ€™t bear to spend $$ on pastas so I got some meaty mains instead. We paid $15 (inc tax) per main after Burpple Beyond, which is pretty worth to me. โ €โ €

I enjoyed their ๐™’๐™–๐™œ๐™ฎ๐™ช ๐˜ฝ๐™š๐™š๐™› ๐˜ฝ๐™ช๐™ง๐™œ๐™š๐™ง ($25) because it was made from all the basics done right! They combined all my favourite components of a burger (a brioche bun, some caramelised onions and a juicy patty) and took out all the things that wouldโ€™ve made it soggy (lettuce, tomatoes etc). Of course, girlโ€™s got to have her vegetables so I was glad they also packed some salad on the side.

Upgraded my fries (+$1) to Cajun fries, which were pretty flavourful! A bit ๅฟƒ็—› to pay $1 extra for that small bit of paprika powder, so Iโ€™d probably stick to regular fries next time. โ €โ €

Eleven Strands has won me over ๐Ÿ˜ญ it has been on my list of places to try for the longest time, and Iโ€™m happy to say that it surpassed my high expectations! Ordered their crab meat pasta in red sauce ($25+). Would have liked the sauce to be a little creamier, but it is tangy with a nice hint of spiciness. The crab meat is broken up into smaller pieces and mixed in! The tomatoes and spinach lent dimension to its flavour and texture. Opted for their handmade tagliatelle (+$3) and it is worth every cent - the pasta had a great bite, and itโ€™s thicker width paired well with the sauce!
